NFL Releases Full 2023 Regular Season Schedule

It’s here. The NFL doesn’t lack for excitement at just about any time of year, and the schedule release is a day that draws a ton of attention with fans wanting to know when and where teams play throughout the year. The 2023 NFL regular season schedule is the biggest in history, with the first ever Black Friday game, a full Christmas slate, multiple Monday Night Football doubleheaders, and more. You can view the full schedule here:

And for the primetime schedules:

The 2023 holiday games feature the 49ers playing on both Thanksgiving night and Christmas Night, which is interesting.

The 2023 season features 14 rematches from the 2022 playoffs, including Super Bowl LVII (Eagles vs. Chiefs in Week 11), the NFC Championship Game (San Francisco at Philadelphia in Week 13), the AFC Championship Game (Cincinnati at Kansas City in Week 17) and all four Divisional playoff games (Kansas City at Jacksonville in Week 2; Buffalo at Cincinnati in Week 9, the New York Giants against Philadelphia in Weeks 16 and 18; Dallas at San Francisco in Week 5).

Also, the powerhouse AFC East and NFC East divisions face each other this year, and the East divisions make up the top eight of the toughest strength of schedule based on last season. And the Detroit Lions will open the season against the defending champion Chiefs.

Another note is that there is no Week 17 Monday Night Football game due to the College Football Playoff on New Year’s Day.

The bottom line is there’s plenty of action and excitement to come this fall and winter.

The 2023 NFL regular season kicks off on Thursday, September 7 with the Lions facing the Chiefs at 8:20 PM ET on NBC.
