Strengths
Athletic build with ideal size. Smooth and light on his feet. Excellent overall athleticism. Stays poised and extremely patient as a pass blocker. Moves his feet very well to match rushers. Effective using his hands to combat bigger rushers. Straightens up his posture after engaging rushers. Very strong taking on interior defensive linemen in pass protection. Quick feet to close the door on inside moves. Calmly picks up pressure that comes from his inside shoulder. Does a very good job identifying stunts. Keeps his technique shuffling on moving pockets. Quick off the ball and has his hands ready. Smooth on close seal blocks for outside runs. Strikes at the chest of opponents with his hands and works to drive. Physical taking on interior defensive linemen in the running game. Able to uproot bigger opponents as a run blocker. Wipeout power to take interior defensive linemen to the ground. Great acceleration. Used on cross-formation interior pulls. Very effective getting out to lead the way in space. Excellent field vision and scans while on the move in space. Has shown accuracy and power to level smaller opponents in the open field. Hustles to follow the ball. Held up very well in rare matchups against Michigan defensive linemen Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant (2024). Strength shown taking on interior defenders could bode well for possible move to guard.
Weaknesses
Drops his eyes and has lunging misses by not seeing what he’s hitting. Loses his balance too often and ends up on the ground. Will get forward-leaning at the waist and miss. Some early movements appear segmented at times. Sometimes stops his pass set too early and will need to speed up. Could be better resetting if a pass rusher swipes his reach away or gets to his chest. Would like to see more consistent aggression trying to hold blocks in the running game.

Conclusion
Overall, Banks is a smooth, athletic offensive tackle with desired poise in pass protection and impressive power as a run blocker. He has a very strong case to be the first offensive lineman drafted and could carry position versatility based on his skillset.
