Strengths
Prototype size. Big hands and catch radius. Outstanding overall strength. Extremely quick to locate the ball in the air. Excellent hands. Able to go down for low passes and bring in throws on his back hip. Has body fluidity to sink his hips and burst on vertical routes. Terrific acceleration on deeper routes. Impressive burst to separate on short post cuts. Smooth looking the ball in and turning into a runner on deeper grabs. Willing to absorb a hit going deep over the middle. Tremendous feel for open space down the middle to split the safeties. Smooth feet on out routes. Very crisp on in-breaking cuts. Won’t hesitate to be physical during the route with a defender in his path. Often used in the slot as a receiver. Very smooth coming out of deeper curl routes. Very quick turning around to present a target to the quarterback underneath. Good feel to settle into open space versus zone coverage. Shows some deception on quick slants. Experience lining up outside the numbers. Targeted on designed throws in the flat. Smooth catching the ball on the run and turning upfield. Showed breakaway speed with the ball in the open field. Runs hard and with physicality. Works to uncover and moves with the quarterback on scrambles. Saw snaps in the backfield for split shotgun formations. Plenty of in-line blocking experience. Takes pride and battles as a run blocker. Very good impact strength and accuracy on cross-formation blocks. Low connecting as a blocker. Attaches with his hands and stays square to drive. Turns his hips to get positioning on the edge. Tremendous effort leading the way as a blocker in the open field. Excellent when used as a pass blocker on the edge. Will stay square and move his feet.
Weaknesses
Want to see more consistency running routes at full speed. Will slow down and/or stop his route when the defender gets on top of him in coverage. Not overly fluid on pivot routes. Needs to avoid some instances of lowering his eyes as a blocker. Will miss some blocks at the snap.

Conclusion
Overall, Arroyo is a complete tight end with outstanding hands, burst as a route runner, and effectiveness as a blocker. He should provide a vertical receiving threat down the seams for an NFL offense and is worth considering in Round 2.
