YouTube Video: Five Realistic Deals Ahead of the 2025 NFL Trade Deadline

The NFL trade deadline is today at 4 PM ET, and a few moves are expected as teams gear up for a playoff push. Our latest YouTube video breaks down five realistic trade ideas—including a blockbuster in the AFC.

TE David Njoku to Denver

Wide receiver additions have been rumored for the Broncos, but they might not be impactful enough compared to Marvin Mims Jr., Troy Franklin, and Pat Bryant II. Instead, Denver should consider David Njoku at tight end to pair with Evan Engram—providing more of an in-line option and physical presence to complement the young speed they have. For the Browns, they’d add extra draft capital in a potential move for a quarterback in 2026.

WR Rashid Shaheed to Pittsburgh

The Steelers have played heavily through the tight ends this season, but adding another deep threat like Shaheed would open things up for everyone on offense—including DK Metcalf on the other side of the field. With Aaron Rodgers continuing to throw the ball at a high level, Shaheed would be a natural fit to make Pittsburgh more dangerous based on what he provides as a vertical threat.

CB Cam Taylor-Britt to Indianapolis

Charvarius Ward will be eligible to return this month at cornerback, but Taylor-Britt would make for a more formidable trio in tandem with Ward and Kenny Moore II to match Indy’s high-powered offense. Considering the history Taylor-Britt has playing under defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo in Cincinnati, the transition should be a quick one if a move is made.

CB Clark Phillips III to Detroit

Cornerback isn’t a need for the Lions with everyone healthy, but injuries have hit them hard in back-to-back years—so Phillips would be the perfect insurance as a sticky defender who can play man coverage. The former fourth-round pick is also a playmaker with four career pick-sixes in college, and he’d provide inside-outside versatility behind D.J. Reed, Terrion Arnold, and Amik Robertson.

WR Brian Thomas Jr. to Buffalo

The Bills have gone 0-4 versus the Chiefs in January, and Josh Allen being Superman seems to be the only chance they have every year in the postseason. Making a blockbuster move for Thomas—who hasn’t been a great fit in Liam Coen’s offense—would give Allen the pure vertical threat to match his all-world arm talent, and his skillset meshes perfectly with Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir, and Keon Coleman.
