Team of the Week
QB: Jameis Winston, NYG
It wasn’t enough to get a win for the Giants, but Winston was chucking the ball around in the loss to Detroit—throwing for 366 yards and two touchdowns (plus one interception) on just 18 completions in an overtime shootout. Winston also caught a highlight 33-yard touchdown and threw for his first touchdown on a trick play, but it wasn’t enough for New York to avoid being the first team eliminated from playoff contention.
RB: Jahmyr Gibbs, DET
And the reason for the Giants being the only team done before Thanksgiving was Gibbs completely going off—with the superstar back rushing 15 times for 219 yards and two touchdowns while adding 11 receptions for 45 yards and another score. Gibbs set a career-high in total yards (264) and took full advantage of a league-worst run defense with a new high mark for fantasy points for a player in 2025 (49.9).
RB: Emanuel Wilson, GB
The Packers opted to hold out Josh Jacobs (knee) with a short turnaround for Thanksgiving, and Wilson came through in a big way for Green Bay and fantasy owners—handling 30 touches for 125 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-6 victory over Minnesota. Jacobs will obviously be the lead back and a probable RB1 option when back, but Wilson has earned increased work the rest of the way.
WR: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, SEA
A historic season for Smith-Njigba continued with another monster game yesterday—as he caught eight-of-10 targets for 167 yards and two touchdowns with Tennessee having no answers for him in coverage. JSN has gone for 14.3+ fantasy points in every game this year, and the most recent performance gave him season-highs in receiving yards (167) and fantasy points (33.1) with his first multi-score game of the campaign.
WR: Wan’Dale Robinson, NYG
Robinson had cooled off in recent weeks, but Detroit struggled to contain him with over 100 receiving yards in the first quarter—and he finished with a 9/156/1 line on 14 targets in the OT loss. We’d expect New England to do a better job on Robinson next Monday night, but he’ll still draw FLEX consideration in all formats.
TE: Hunter Henry, NE
Dominance for tight ends against the Bengals continued this week with Henry being the latest to explode in the matchup—catching seven passes for 115 yards and a touchdown to finish with 21.0 fantasy points. There was another touchdown called back due to a penalty that would have led to an even bigger day, and Henry is now up to the overall TE5 on the campaign.
FLEX: Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET
St. Brown struggled last week with two receptions (on 12 targets) for 42 yards against the Eagles, but he bounced back in a big way with a 9/149/1 line to help power the overtime win over New York. Uncharacteristic drops remained an issue for St. Brown, but fantasy owners can’t complain about the production—and he came through when it mattered late in the comeback.
D/ST: Los Angeles Rams
The Rams overwhelmed the Bucs on both sides of the ball last night, and the defense held them to 193 total yards and seven points in a decisive win. Tampa Bay (and fantasy owners facing the LA defense) could have a gripe about the interception returned for a touchdown in the first half, but the unit came through with 20.0 fantasy points for anyone that needed a big performance.
K: Andy Borregales, NE
Borregales also came through in Week 12 by hitting all four of his field goals, and the 18.0 fantasy points were a new high for the rookie kicker. With just two misses on the year, Borregales should be a solid start next week against the Giants.
Surprise of the Week: Cameron Ward
Jameis Winston certainly could have been the choice here, but going off always seems to be in the range of outcomes for him. Instead, Ward finished as a top-five fantasy quarterback with 23.94 points in a tough matchup versus Seattle—throwing for 256 yards and a touchdown with six carries for 37 yards and another score on the ground. In addition to the numbers, there were some highlight plays included for the No. 1 overall pick in an encouraging outing.
Disappointment of the Week: Jameson Williams
Once again, it was a week with plenty of disappointments, and Williams was one of them as he was unable to get in on the fun in Detroit with zero receptions (on three targets). The floor had seemed to be increased for Jamo with 14.6+ fantasy points in all three games since the bye, but the Lions stuck with Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown as they played from behind.
Rookie of the Week: Ashton Jeanty
Cameron Ward deserves recognition here as well, but Jeanty gets the nod by coming through for those who stuck with him in a difficult matchup versus Cleveland—turning 25 touches into 108 total yards and a touchdown. The offensive line has been the biggest issue for Jeanty this season, but now fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly (who was arguably scapegoated) has done a good job getting Jeanty involved as a pass-catcher (eight receptions yesterday), and the No. 6 overall pick has caught four touchdowns on the season.
Week 12 MVP: Jahmyr Gibbs
Gibbs was gone on touchdown runs of 49 yards (in the fourth quarter) and 69 yards (in overtime), and Detroit decided to lean on him with the offense struggling early on. In general, Gibbs has been even more of a force since Dan Campbell has taken over as the play-caller, including receiving lines of 3/30/1, 5/107, and 11/45/1—which should help boost him versus an aggressive Green Bay front on Thanksgiving.
