The Bears Are Good Again

Not only are the Bears good, but they’re really good. In Year 1 under head coach Ben Johnson, Chicago has not only clinched a postseason spot but is also in position to win the NFC North. When frigid Soldier Field is hosting key games in December and January, the league is in a better place.

It’s a Wide Open Season

From the Chiefs already eliminated from playoff contention to the Lions and Ravens looking likely to miss, the 2025 NFL season has been one of total unpredictability. When we hit the postseason, anyone will be able to defeat anyone and advance. This no doubt leads to the type of drama fans crave.

New Quarterbacks Emerge

Headlined by the Bears’ Caleb Williams and the Broncos’ Bo Nix, new quarterbacks are emerging as stars to keep the NFL in good hands at the game’s most important position—particularly critical with retirements like that of Tom Brady and Matt Ryan in recent years, with Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco set to retire soon, too.

The Comebacks

There are a few themes dominating the NFL in 2025, and the comebacks might be at the top of the list. The Broncos pulled off an insane comeback versus the Giants. The Seahawks stormed back from 16 points down in the fourth quarter against the Rams. And the Bears have an NFL record six comebacks in the final two minutes of regulation.

The Final Stretch

Week 18 figures to have several high stakes games with playoff seeding, divisions, and No. 1 seeds at stake. You can’t ask for more than that. Plus, as stated, the wide-open nature of the postseason should deliver all January leading up to Super Bowl LX.
