Strengths

Prototype size. Plays with a wide and balanced base in pass protection. Calmly slides his feet to match the path of rushers off the ball. Sets and doesn’t get pushed back. Outstanding overall poise in pass protection. Clear natural athleticism. Does a tremendous job moving his feet as a pass blocker. Immediately has his hands ready off the ball in pass sets. Extremely accurate combating with his hands in pass protection. Comfortable combating more active rushers. Able to reset and reattach with his hands if a rusher jolts him a bit. Switches up his approach when it comes to extending in pass protection. Very strong hands to swat down the reach of rushers. Neutralizes swim moves. Will swipe down the reach of opponents and bury them. Excellent power to get rushers on the ground. Will be the aggressor in pass protection and drive opponents towards the sideline. Very strong and subtle pulldown move in pass protection. Good quickness to cover inside rushes. Very aware to handle stunts. Tremendous accuracy and impact taking out delayed blitzers. Wipes out blitzing linebackers. Impressive core strength and balance. Low and athletic out of his stance. Quick off the ball. Terrific grip strength. Very strong hands to stay attached and finish blocks. Extremely smooth hips to turn defenders as a run blocker. Light feet on the move. Excellent acceleration and speed. Great accuracy working to the second level as a run blocker. Good technique and poise to make a quick block at the snap and then transition to a linebacker in space. Accurate connecting on interior pulls. Will overpower linebackers to the ground. Shows some intensity to finish blocks and fire after making a block. Standout performer in the weight room.

Weaknesses

Feet could slide out from underneath him trying to anchor versus bigger opponents. Can be cleaner sliding when switching blocks versus stunts. Could have more pop rolling his hips into blocks. Pulls seem to be too much of a shuffle at times rather than using his natural athleticism to get the job done. Could be more accurate hitting cross-formation pulls versus aggressive edge defenders.

Conclusion

Overall, Bisontis is a well-rounded guard with natural athleticism, light feet, and great strength, including in his hands. He is already an excellent pass protector, but there should be plenty of untapped potential in the running game as he learns to play with more power.
