Strengths
Excellent overall size and length. Extremely soft feet as a pass blocker. Outstanding natural mirror skills. Tremendous overall poise and technique in pass protection. Smooth sliding his feet to match the early path of rushers. Accurate hands to combat moves by rushers. Will get out very quick into pass sets to match wide rushers. Balanced holding up when losing ground versus bull rushes. Moves his feet well and creates a wide base to wall up versus inside rushes. Shows good strength in his hands when latching onto interior defenders in pass protection. Very nimble sliding his feet towards the interior on moving pockets. Quick to finish off rushers when they go to the ground. Good athleticism sticking with the assignment after the quarterback slides if beaten in pass protection. Terrific lateral quickness switching blocks at his size. Excellent quickness on combination blocks. Great patience shown working to the second level and staying square. Will get in front of opponents and turn his hips to create a seal. Impressive agility on reach blocks. Agile on interior pulls as a run blocker. Good accuracy to the second level as a lead blocker on inside pulls. Generates drive as the second blocker on double teams. Excellent instincts and vision blocking on outside runs. Great acceleration and speed in space. Hustles to follow the action after springing a run. Looks to get in on the pile. Played right tackle but should be natural on the left side. Plenty of room for development after not playing football in high school.
Weaknesses
Hands and feet don’t always seem in sync in pass protection and leads to inconsistency. Has the foot quickness to match but sometimes fails to get enough depth and will lose positioning versus speed rushes. Sometimes slow off the ball and will lose a step. Can slowly cede ground versus strength and length as a pass blocker. Power rushes can push him back on impact. Average impact strength and overall power. Doesn’t really take opponents out. Will lower his eyes into contact. Hands need to be more effective engaging and staying attached as a run blocker. Could sustain blocks longer on the edge. Longer opponents in outside pursuit will extend and keep him from getting to their frame. Could be more accurate and dominating versus smaller defenders in the open field.

Conclusion
Overall, Iheanachor is a high-upside offensive tackle with tremendous feet in pass protection and agility as a run blocker. Smoothing out the inconsistencies and learning to play with more power will hopefully come with more experience.
