The Targets
Over his four seasons with Philadelphia, Brown had target totals of 145, 158, 97 (13 games), and 121. While the Eagles have plenty of pieces on offense including first-round pick Makai Lemon at receiver, Smith can start reaching those types of target numbers with the All-Pro Brown gone.
The Numbers
In three full games without Brown over the past two years, Smith has put up lines of 7/76/1, 7/79, and 6/84. The sample size is small, but that’d be good for a season-long pace of 113 receptions for over 1,350 receiving yards—right in that elite tier of fantasy wide receivers going in the first or early second round of drafts.
The Talent
And more than anything, this starts with the talent. Smith has more than a good opportunity in front of him—he has the talent to take advantage. The former Heisman Trophy winner wins at all areas of the field. That includes the ability to be excellent at the catch point and go up for passes with a top-tier catch radius down the field. The chemistry is there with quarterback Jalen Hurts, and the Eagles might be ready to show just how great Smith is in 2026.
