It’s been a long wait, but we finally know the team we’ll get an inside look at this summer during training camp. The Dallas Cowboys will be featured for the 20th anniversary of HBO’s Hard Knocks, airing beginning on August 10 and also streaming on HBO Max.

The announcement press release reads in part:
The Cowboys enter the 2021 NFL season looking to improve upon last year’s third-place finish in the NFC East. In the second year under head coach Mike McCarthy, the Cowboys look forward to having franchise quarterback Dak Prescott back under center to lead Dallas’ high-powered offense which features the likes of running back Ezekiel Elliott, and wide receivers Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb. Defensively, new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn leads an impressive group which features Demarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith and first-round pick Micah Parsons.
This selection comes as no surprise, as the Cowboys were one of a handful of teams that could have been forced to appear on the show after falling in the criteria of: 1) not having a new head coach, 2) not appearing on the show in the past ten years, and 3) missing the playoffs in each of the past two seasons.
Among the key storylines for the Cowboys are Dak Prescott’s return from a serious ankle injury, Ezekiel Elliott reportedly getting into perhaps the best shape of his career, and the revamped defense under new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
Also, we should hear a good deal from Hall of Fame owner Jerry Jones and the Jones family as they approach a 2021 campaign that the franchise is no doubt excited about.
Hard Knocks: The Dallas Cowboys will premiere on Tuesday, August 10 at 10:00 PM on HBO and will be available for streaming on HBO Max.

Never any doubt
