Strengths
Extremely powerful. Overwhelming size but carries it well. Clogs running lanes simply due to his strength and size. Very strong hands. Exceptional burst for his weight to penetrate at the snap. Keeps pad level low to generate leverage. Low and quick to disrupt plays from the start. Uses length to fully extend opponents back. Very good instincts and play recognition. Great ability to shed and stop to make a tackle in the hole. Strong and reliable finisher. Impressive tackling range around the line of scrimmage. Generates pressure as an interior rusher. Quick rip move. Flashes a tight spin move. Will drive back opponents with power rushes when left one-on-one. Uses one arm to walk back opponents. Often draws two pass blockers and can still generate push. Good awareness to track the quarterback when he breaks the pocket. Tries to swat down throws at the line of scrimmage. Decent speed when he does pursue hard.
Weaknesses
Lacks extended lateral range/quickness. Gets too high as rushes progress. Needs to keep shoulders square to the line of scrimmage more to avoid being susceptible to cutbacks. Slow moving away from the ball and doesn’t spend much energy in pursuit.

Vita Vea
Conclusion
Overall, Ika is a powerful, space-eating nose tackle with tremendous size and impressive penetration quickness. He doesn’t have the same level of explosiveness or movement skills, but Ika is similar to Vita Vea based on the skillset at his size.
