Netflix Is Bringing Back ‘Quarterback’ in 2025

Two years ago, Netflix debuted the hit series Quarterback, following Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota. Last year, after not finding enough willing participants at the game’s most high-profile position, the streaming giant pivoted to Receiver. Now, Quarterback is back with Jared Goff, Joe Burrow, and Cousins.

This is a great get for Netflix and for football fans. Goff led the Lions to a 15-2 regular season record, and Burrow led the NFL in passing yards and passing touchdowns—each finishing as an MVP finalist. And Cousins’ second go around on the series will cover his first season with the Falcons culminating in his benching for first-round rookie Michael Penix Jr.

Mariota was also benched a couple of years ago with the Falcons, so perhaps Michael Penix Jr. should stay away from participating in Quarterback throughout his career.

Quarterback was a major hit in 2023, giving viewers premium access and insight to what goes into playing a very difficult position at the highest level.

Quarterback streams this July on Netflix.
