Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman is rightfully getting the attention the publicity today as an awesome release on Netflix, but there’s going to be plenty of other 4K content set to release in a big month of December as more premium content becomes available in the format. These are the best movies and shows to buy and/or watch in 4K next month.
Game of Thrones Season 8 (December 3)

Unfortunately, the entire series of Game of Thrones will not be out in 4K Ultra HD, but you can own Season 8 to watch the epic six-episode conclusion to the show in the best format available starting on December 3.
Little Women (December 3)

The 1994 film featuring young stars including Winona Ryder, Christian Bale, Claire Danes, and Kirsten Dunst is releasing in 4K and high dynamic range for its 25th anniversary. The adaptation of the classic Louisa May Alcott novel remains about as true to the original story as possible for back then, and a new version is also being released in theaters for Christmas.
Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood (December 10)

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is Quentin Tarantino’s most heartfelt film to date, working as a love letter to the end of the Golden Age of Hollywood after the eventful summer of 1969. There’s also a cool Collector’s Edition available with some extras inspired by the period.
It Chapter 2 (December 10)

This isn’t exactly a movie that will get you in the holiday spirit, but It Chapter 2 is certain to freak you out a bit in super-clear Ultra HD.
6 Underground (December 13)

This one is a Netflix release, as the film starring Ryan Reynolds hits the streaming giant on December 13. It’s a Michael Bay film, so at the very least, it should have action-packed sequences that get a boost in 4K.
Ad Astra (December 17)

Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) makes his second appearance among the December 2019 4K releases, as Ad Astra is already set to hit home video after just releasing in theaters in September. The sincere, emotional journey should look fantastic at home in Ultra HD.
The Witcher (December 20)

The hype is real for The Witcher, as the Henry Cavill-starred Netflix series looks like it has a chance to become the best show on television in a time when some are spending the necessary money to have productions similar to Game of Thrones.
Bonus: It’s a Wonderful Life

It’s a Wonderful Life is already out in 4K, but it’s one of the best movies to own and watch during Christmas season. You can also watch the 1946 timeless classic via an Amazon Prime membership.
