Halloween is just over a week away, so we are counting down the ten best standalone Halloween television episodes. Of course, there are dozens that could have easily made the list, but everyone will have a personal preference. Instead of a description for each episode, I put a funny and/or notable quote so spoilers are mostly avoided and people can go watch the whole episode/show for themselves if they want.

Yeah, I get a little frustrated when I’m dealing with incompetence. Well, you know what? You can go to Hell, too, and I will see you there burning. Fine… Oh, wait, so you’ll let me know when you’ve made a decision?” – Dwight Schrute talking on the phone about a potential job after Jim and Pam put his résumé online
2. The Simpsons – S2E3 “Treehouse of Horror”
