Join now >Mike Gillislee (knee) is officially inactive for tonight’s playoff game versus the Titans.
Gillislee was able to work his way up to a limited participant in practice at the end of the week, but he isn’t ready to go for the Divisional Round. Rex Burkhead (knee) is also out, so it’ll be a lot of Dion Lewis and some of James White for New England. Consider Gillislee 50/50 for a potential AFC Championship next weekend.

Ben Roethlisberger wants to play at least three more seasons.
Steelers owner Art Rooney II spoke to reporters and said his quarterback told him he wants to play “beyond” his current contract, which has two years remaining. This is quite the change for Roethlisberger compared to last year when there was real thought that he would call it a career. At 35, Big Ben appears poised to play until he’s at least 38 barring injury, as it’d be hard to believe he would tell his team’s owner this if it wasn’t true. The exciting core that got a jolt with rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster this season might have given Roethlisberger a second wind on the back nine of his career. An extension should get done at some point, even if it’s not for a year or two, as it’s difficult to imagine Roethlisberger playing anywhere other than Pittsburgh.

Rex Burkhead (knee) is inactive for the Divisional Round.
Burkhead was limited in practice all week and isn’t at 100%, as he reportedly isn’t moving around well enough right now. James White (ankle) is active for New England, so he’ll be available to work behind Dion Lewis in the backfield. If the Patriots are able to get past the Titans tonight, they’ll hope for Burkhead to be available for the AFC Championship against Pittsburgh or Jacksonville.

T.J. Yeldon makes an impact in playoff win.
Yeldon rusher five times for 20 yards and a touchdown in the 45-42 win against the Steelers. He also led the team with three receptions for 57 yards. Yeldon saw some extended play with Leonard Fournette missing time and Chris Ivory inactive, and he took advantage. He will look to have a similar impact in the AFC Championship next week in New England.

The Vikings have officially activated Sam Bradford (knee) from injured reserve.
Bradford only appeared in two games this season because of his knee injury suffered back in Week 1, but he has been practicing the last two weeks and has looked like his normal self. Considering he’s played some meaningful football over the last two years, we fully expect him to step right in as the backup over Teddy Bridgewater. Over the last two seasons, Bradford has the fifth-highest passer rating in the league behind only Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers, and the bottom line is he has elite upside. Super Bowl runs aren’t guaranteed every year, and the Vikings might not hesitate to insert him into the game if Case Keenum happens to struggle in the postseason. Also, remember Bradford absolutely lit up tomorrow’s opponent, the Saints, in Week 1, throwing for 346 yards and three touchdowns with only five incompletion on 32 attempts.

Dion Lewis handles 24 touches in playoff win.
Lewis rushed 15 times for 62 yards and caught nine passes for 79 yards in a 35-14 victory over the Titans. New England’s starter continues to show great elusiveness, and he will operate as the lead back again in the AFC Championship Game against either the Steelers or Jaguars next week.

Antonio Brown (calf/illness) is officially listed as questionable for the Sunday.
Brown is basically just listed on the injury report because of the illness that forced him to miss practice practice today, as he was a full participant on Wednesday and Thursday and is apparently over the severe calf injury he suffered in Week 15 against the Patriots. AB is still fully expected to play in the Divisional Round matchup with the Jaguars, and he’s expected to be in his usual All-Pro form; but check back in on Sunday to make sure.
