Carlos Hyde gets 23 touches against Seattle.

Hyde carried 16 times for 47 yards and added seven receptions (on 13 targets) for 21 yards in the Week 12 loss. It’s great to see him get this many touches in a game, even if it didn’t lead to a lot of yardage—though those that play PPR must be happy with the scoring output. Hyde should remain in fantasy lineups next week versus Chicago as someone that should continue to get a lot of touches, and he continues to get a boost in PPR leagues.

Tevin Coleman displays elite skillset in Week 12 start.

Coleman rushed 19 times for 97 yards and two touchdowns. The first score came on a three-yard dive in the third quarter, and the second score was a 14-yard sprint to seal the game in the fourth. He surprisingly didn’t catch a pass, but Coleman showed again that he has the ability to be a top-end starter in the NFL if given the opportunity. Devonta Freeman could return from his concussion next week against Minnesota, but Coleman will remain a high-upside RB2 anyway. If he gets another start, the third-year back remains an explosive RB1.

Michael Thomas contained as Saints fall to Rams.

Thomas caught five passes for 52 yards in the 26-20 loss. The second-year receiver isn’t scoring much and only has one 100-yard game this season, but he has at least five receptions in all but one game this season, so he’s been a steady presence for PPR owners. He’ll look to have a big game against Carolina next Sunday, especially after what Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse did to them in Week 12. Keep Thomas in lineups as a solid WR1 in all formats.

Austin Hooper caught three passes for 38 yards in Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay.

Hooper was a lot better than last week’s two-catch, negative-one-yard performance, but it was basically all Julio Jones and Tevin Coleman for the Atlanta offense. Hooper is just a TE2 option against Minnesota next Sunday.

Jimmy Garoppolo throws touchdown in first appearance as a 49er.

Garoppolo again didn’t start the game for the Niners, but C.J. Beathard injured his leg on San Francisco’s final drive, forcing the franchise quarterback to enter the game. Jimmy G played very well in his few snaps, going 2/2 for 18 yards and a touchdown while adding a four-yard carry. The young quarterback clearly has a lot of poise back there, and his touchdown pass as time expired was on a dime to Louis Murphy in the end zone. If Beathard is healthy he might remain the starter and give Garoppolo more time to get comfortable in Kyle Shanahan’s system, but Garoppolo might make his first start for the 49ers next week against the Bears. He’d be an intriguing option if he does get the start, but the 49ers don’t have a ton of weapons around the quarterback.

Jacoby Brissett gets sacked eight times in Week 12 loss.

The Titans put constant pressure on the second-year quarterback, who didn’t have time to get much going for the Colts. Brissett was 17/29 for 196 yards, along with three carries for 16 yards and one lost fumble in the game. Brissett had thrown two touchdowns in three straight games, but most quarterbacks would’ve struggled behind Indy’s offensive line in this one. With a matchup against the Jaguars next week, Brissett should not be in fantasy lineups.

Tanner McEvoy catches two passes in Week 12.

McEvoy was targeted twice against the Niners, gaining 31 yards on his two receptions, including a long of 24 yards. The big receiver’s role isn’t big enough to have a fantasy impact, but he’ll make plays for the Seahawks when his number is called.
