Cam Newton | Free Agent QB

Cam Newton runs the ball well but Panthers lose to the Eagles.

Newton was 28/52 for 239 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions while rushing 11 times for 71 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The first two interceptions weren’t really on Newton, as the first one his arm was hit and the second one was right off Jonathan Stewart’s hands before it was picked. The third interception might’ve been on a miscommunication with Kelvin Benjamin, because if not it was terribly inaccurate. His rushing score came on a triple option play where he kept it, and his passing score came on a one-yard pass to Christian McCaffrey in the flat. Despite the three interceptions, Newton had a very good fantasy day because of his rushing stats. He’ll remain a QB1 in Week 7 against Chicago.

Sammy Watkins | Free Agent WR

Sammy Watkins catches one pass in Week 6.

The fourth-year receiver gained 11 yards on his lone reception against the Jaguars. Watkins appeared to have a step on a deep ball, but Jared Goff couldn’t quite connect with him. Watkins is an awesome player, but he continues to get difficult matchups that help free up other guys in the offense, and the Rams have been clear that they won’t force the ball to him; and on top of that, Goff and Watkins aren’t connecting on the deep shots they are taking in these games. Things won’t get much easier for Watkins in Week 7 against Patrick Peterson.

Zach Ertz | Commanders TE

Zach Ertz catches two touchdowns against the Panthers.

Ertz had only two receptions (on five targets) in the game, but he made the most of them by scoring on both. The first touchdown was on a 17-yard high-pointed catch on a post route, and the second was a one-yarder on an in-breaking route in the end zone. Overall, he had two receptions for 18 yards and two touchdowns. Ertz is playing like one of the best tight ends in the NFL, and he’ll be a high-end TE1 against the Redskins in a couple Mondays.

10/13/17 - 12:02 AM ET

Rob Gronkowski | Retired TE

Rob Gronkowski scores twice in Week 6.

Gronk made an excellent return after missing one game with a thigh injury as he was targeted a team-high ten times against the Jets, catching six passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns. The first touchdown was on a pass in the flat at the goal line, and the second was a 33-yarder on a third-and-11 in the third quarter. Gronk is obviously the top TE option in Week 7 versus the Falcons, who he wasn’t able to play in New England’s Super Bowl victory last season because of his back injury.

10/16/17 - 01:45 PM ET

Nelson Agholor | Free Agent WR

Nelson Agholor scores again in Eagles’ win.

The third-year receiver continues his predictable (for those that watched him unbiasedly) campaign, as he caught four of seven targets for 55 yards and a touchdown against Carolina. Again, Agholor showed very strong hands, snatching the ball out of the air and proving to be reliable for Carson Wentz. The touchdown was a 24-yarder where Agholor easily beat linebacker Shaq Thompson on a slant route and zoomed to the end zone. The former first-round pick, who finally appears to be playing in two-receiver sets over Torrey Smith, will be a FLEX option in Week 7 versus the Redskins.

10/13/17 - 12:00 AM ET

Ben Roethlisberger | Retired QB

Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers rely on the running game to knock off the undefeated Chiefs.

Roethlisberger was 17/25 for 252 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, though the interception was Antonio Brown’s fault. Considering how bad Big Ben and the Steelers were a week ago, it was an encouraging effort to pickup a huge win in Arrowhead. Roethlisberger returns home to face the Bengals next Sunday, but he’ll probably just be a low-end QB1 with Pittsburgh expected to use a similar ground-and-pound approach.

10/16/17 - 02:49 PM ET

Alshon Jeffery | Free Agent WR

Alshon Jeffery leads Eagles in Week 6 receiving.

Jeffery received a team-high ten target against the Panthers, catching four of them for 71 yards. He was probably targeted deep in this game more than any previous game this season, and his long gain was of 37 yards. Facing a Redskins team that might be without Josh Norman (ribs) in Week 7, Jeffery should be a good fantasy option.
