Join now >Devin Funchess fumbles in second preseason game.
On Carolina’s opening drive, Funchess caught a quick eight-yard pass but fumbled and lost it. This shouldn’t impact Funchess’ fantasy value, as he remains a late-round pick.

Chargers starters go down the field for opening drive TD in preseason game versus Seattle.
Philip Rivers and the starters were set to play one series and they made the most of it. Rivers looked very sharp, hitting his receivers with accuracy and keeping the chains moving before hitting Antonio Gates for a five-yard touchdown on a perfect pass in the end zone. It was a trademark drive for Rivers and the Chargers, who drained much of the first quarter working their way down the field for the score. They play Drew Brees and the Saints in Week 2 of the preseason next Sunday night.

Alex Armah scores in preseason game.
The Panthers fullback caught a 20-yard touchdown on his only touch of the game. Armah can be a weapon out of the backfield, but it’d be foolish to trust him in your fantasy lineup.

Seahawks receiver Paul Richardson leaves preseason game with shoulder injury.
Richardson started the game with Russell Wilson and the rest of the starters, catching the first pass for the Seahawks. He then made a beautiful diving catch when he laid out for a 25-yard reception, but he ran over to the sideline with a limp right shoulder. Hopefully the injury isn’t too bad and he can be on the practice field soon because it looks like he’s going to be one of the Seahawks’ top three receivers.

Fozzy Whittaker carries three times for 23 yards in exhibition against the Titans.
Whittaker probably won’t get as much playing time this season after the addition of Christian McCaffrey and probably won’t have much fantasy value. But he’ll try to contribute to the Panthers offense in real life.

Eddie Lacy plays as clear backup for Seattle in preseason game.
Lacy had four carries for ten yards while working with the second team after Thomas Rawls handled the entire series with the first team. Perhaps Lacy is still getting worked into things after he had ankle surgery last year, but Rawls has been getting the first-team work in practice—it’s more likely the Seahawks are just deciding to go with Rawls as their main guy. Lacy could be the goal line back, however, even if he isn’t the number one running back. This situation is one to watch as the starters play more in the second and third preseason games.

Cameron Artis-Payne scores in preseason Week 2.
CAP had five carries for 70 yards and a touchdown against the Titans. The touchdown came from one-yard out, but Artis-Payne also had a 43-yard run in the game. Artis-Payne won’t have much fantasy value unless something happens to Jonathan Stewart or Christian McCaffrey.
