2022 Fantasy Football Mock Draft 5.0: 12-Team, 0.5 PPR (3WR)

This week’s fantasy football mock draft uses the FantasyPros mock simulator for a 12-team, 0.5 PPR league that starts three wide receivers.

Mock 1.0: 12-team, 0.5 PPR

Mock 2.0: 10-team, Full PPR

Mock 3.0: 10-team, Standard

Mock 4.0: 12-team, Superflex PPR

Round 1

1.01: Jonathan Taylor, IND RB

1.02: Derrick Henry, TEN RB

1.03: Austin Ekeler, LAC RB

1.04: Christian McCaffrey, CAR RB

1.05: Cooper Kupp, LAR WR

1.06: Dalvin Cook, MIN RB

1.07: Najee Harris, PIT RB

1.08: Justin Jefferson, MIN WR

1.09: Mark Andrews, BAL TE

1.10: Ja’Marr Chase, CIN WR

1.11: Javonte Williams, DEN RB

1.12: Joe Mixon, CIN RB

Thoughts: The format having three starting wideouts led to me taking Jefferson over a running back like Joe Mixon. Even in a “regular” league, Jefferson would have a strong case to be drafted.

Round 2

2.01: Travis Kelce, KC TE

2.02: D’Andre Swift, DET RB

2.03: Leonard Fournette, TB RB

2.04: Davante Adams, LV WR

2.05: Nick Chubb, CLE RB

2.06: Aaron Jones, GB RB

2.07: Stefon Diggs, BUF WR

2.08: Mike Evans, TB WR

2.09: Saquon Barkley, NYG RB

2.10: CeeDee Lamb, DAL WR

2.11: Ezekiel Elliott, DAL RB

2.12: Alvin Kamara, NO RB

Thoughts: I think Davante Adams would have been the pick if he was available, but Chubb should be a solid RB1 option no matter what happens with Deshaun Watson.

Round 3

3.01: Deebo Samuel, SF WR

3.02: James Conner, ARI RB

3.03: A.J. Brown, PHI WR

3.04: Cam Akers, LAR RB

3.05: Michael Pittman Jr., IND WR

3.06: Tee Higgins, CIN WR

3.07: Josh Allen, BUF QB

3.08: Tyreek Hill, MIA WR

3.09: Keenan Allen, LAC WR

3.10: Diontae Johnson, PIT WR

3.11: Kyle Pitts, ATL TE

3.12: Antonio Gibson, WAS RB

Thoughts: Maybe the magic will wear off away from the Chiefs, but Hill in the second half of Round 3—especially with three starting wide receivers—seems like an automatic selection.

Round 4

4.01: Jaylen Waddle, MIA WR

4.02: David Montgomery, CHI RB

4.03: Terry McLaurin, WAS WR

4.04: D.J. Moore, CAR WR

4.05: Mike Williams, LAC WR

4.06: Breece Hall, NYJ RB

4.07: Elijah Mitchell, SF RB

4.08: Brandin Cooks, HOU WR

4.09: Courtland Sutton, DEN WR

4.10: George Kittle, SF TE

4.11: Justin Herbert, LAC QB

4.12: Travis Etienne, JAX RB

Thoughts: The roster now has the starting wideouts locked in with Williams joining Jefferson and Hill—with all three guys having week-winning upside. It’s tough to ask for a better start for a redraft league.

Round 5

5.01: DK Metcalf, SEA WR

5.02: Marquise Brown, ARI WR

5.03: Damien Harris, NE RB

5.04: Gabe Davis, BUF WR

5.05: Rashaad Penny, SEA RB

5.06: Rashod Bateman, BAL WR

5.07: Allen Robinson, LAR WR

5.08: Josh Jacobs, LV RB

5.09: J.K. Dobbins, BAL RB

5.10: Lamar Jackson, BAL QB

5.11: DeAndre Hopkins, ARI WR

5.12: Amari Cooper, CLE WR

Thoughts: I was between Jacobs and AJ Dillon at running back or going with Darren Waller at tight end, but having one of the two runners last doesn’t seem likely—and I’m more comfortable with the drop-off at tight end than RB2.

Round 6

6.01: Michael Thomas, NO WR

6.02: Chris Godwin, TB WR

6.03: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, KC RB

6.04: Patrick Mahomes, KC QB

6.05: Darren Waller, LV TE

6.06: Darnell Mooney, CHI WR

6.07: Kyler Murray, ARI QB

6.08: Miles Sanders, PHI RB

6.09: Jalen Hurts, PHI QB

6.10: Jerry Jeudy, DEN WR

6.11: JuJu Smith-Schuster, KC WR

6.12: Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET WR

Thoughts: It turns out that Waller was there for my next pick, so I have a nice Las Vegas stack going and might target Derek Carr for my quarterback if the value is there.

Round 7

7.01: Dawson Knox, BUF TE

7.02: Dalton Schultz, DAL TE

7.03: Allen Lazard, GB WR

7.04: Elijah Moore, NYJ WR

7.05: T.J. Hockenson, DET TE

7.06: Adam Thielen, MIN WR

7.07: Zach Ertz, ARI TE

7.08: AJ Dillon, GB RB

7.09: Ken Walker III, SEA RB

7.10: DeVonta Smith, PHI WR

7.11: Tyler Lockett, SEA WR

7.12: Tom Brady, TB QB

Thoughts: A shocking run at tight end somehow leaves Dillon on the board after I considered him in the fifth round. The starting lineup is now completely filled aside from quarterback with Dillon having standalone FLEX value.

Round 8

8.01: Brandon Aiyuk, SF WR

8.02: Joe Burrow, CIN QB

8.03: Melvin Gordon, DEN RB

8.04: Drake London, ATL WR

8.05: Hunter Renfrow, LV WR

8.06: Russell Gage, TB WR

8.07: Treylon Burks, TEN WR

8.08: Matthew Stafford, LAR QB

8.09: Christian Kirk, JAX WR

8.10: Chase Edmonds, MIA RB

8.11: Robert Woods, TEN WR

8.12: Aaron Rodgers, GB QB

Thoughts: Renfrow is a very solid WR3 option, so to get him as my fourth option at the position was too good to pass up with the Las Vegas players I already have on the roster.

Round 9

9.01: Kadarius Toney, NYG WR

9.02: Chase Claypool, PIT WR

9.03: Kareem Hunt, CLE RB

9.04: Devin Singletary, BUF RB

9.05: Tony Pollard, DAL RB

9.06: Cordarrelle Patterson, ATL RB

9.07: Chris Olave, NO WR

9.08: Dallas Goedert, PHI TE

9.09: James Cook, BUF RB

9.10: Garrett Wilson, NYJ WR

9.11: DeVante Parker, NE WR

9.12: Michael Carter, NYJ RB

Thoughts: This was a spot where I was going to target Derek Carr, but Russell Wilson being available had me rethinking the selection. Instead, Goedert is a great value at this point and potential trade chip behind Darren Waller.

Round 10

10.01: Rhamondre Stevenson, NE RB

10.02: Michael Gallup, DAL WR

10.03: Isaiah Spiller, LAC RB

10.04: Ronald Jones II, KC RB

10.05: Russell Wilson, DEN QB

10.06: Kenny Golladay, NYG WR

10.07: Darrell Henderson, LAR RB

10.08: Sony Michel, MIA RB

10.09: Skyy Moore, KC WR

10.10: Mecole Hardman, KC WR

10.11: Marquez Valdes-Scantling, KC WR

10.12: D.J. Chark, DET WR

Thoughts: Well, Russell Wilson was still on the board, and he’s simply too good of a value to pass up at No. 113 overall. Dak Prescott and Trey Lance are also still surprisingly available along with Carr, so we’ll see if I can double up at the position.

Round 11

11.01: Alexander Mattison, MIN RB

11.02: James Robinson, JAX RB

11.03: J.D. McKissic, WAS RB

11.04: Tyler Boyd, CIN WR

11.05: Mark Ingram, NO RB

11.06: Jahan Dotson, WAS WR

11.07: Rachaad White, TB RB

11.08: Rondale Moore, ARI WR

11.09: Dameon Pierce, HOU RB

11.10: Jamison Crowder, BUF WR

11.11: Darrel Williams, ARI RB

11.12: Jakobi Meyers, NE WR

Thoughts: I should get at least a couple of more wideouts despite the strength of the ones already on the roster, and Moore carries an ideal combination of floor and big-play upside.

Round 12

12.01: Corey Davis, NYJ WR

12.02: Van Jefferson, LAR WR

12.03: Marlon Mack, HOU RB

12.04: Christian Watson, GB WR

12.05: Nyheim Hines, IND RB

12.06: Cowboys, DAL D/ST

12.07: Khalil Herbert, CHI RB

12.08: Dak Prescott, DAL QB

12.09: Jarvis Landry, NO WR

12.10: Bills, BUF D/ST

12.11: Buccaneers, TB D/ST

12.12: Derek Carr, LV QB

Thoughts: I took a risk by passing on Derek Carr for one more round, but the team has gone from a Raiders stack to a potential bomb squad—so I certainly won’t complain about having Russell Wilson as my starter. With this pick, Hines is a quality RB4 option.

Round 13

13.01: Jameson Williams, DET WR

13.02: Tim Patrick, DEN WR

13.03: Nico Collins, HOU WR

13.04: Cole Kmet, CHI TE

13.05: Raheem Mostert, MIA RB

13.06: Albert Okwuegbunam, DEN TE

13.07: Joshua Palmer, LAC WR

13.08: Trey Lance, SF QB

13.09: Tyler Allgeier, ATL RB

13.10: Kenneth Gainwell, PHI RB

13.11: Kirk Cousins, MIN QB

13.12: Jamaal Williams, DET RB

Thoughts: There is probably no chance of Lance lasting this late in real drafts, and this team in general is unrealistically good. I’ll be interested to see how it’s graded.

Round 14

14.01: Deshaun Watson, CLE QB

14.02: Chuba Hubbard, CAR RB

14.03: Logan Thomas, WAS TE

14.04: Tua Tagovailoa, MIA QB

14.05: Julio Jones, TB WR

14.06: Tyrion Davis-Price, SF RB

14.07: Mike Gesicki, MIA TE

14.08: 49ers, SF D/ST

14.09: Irv Smith Jr., MIN TE

14.10: Myles Gaskin, MIA RB

14.11: Robert Tonyan, GB TE

14.12: D’Onta Foreman, CAR RB

Thoughts: The algorithm calling Julio a “reach” at No. 161 overall is crazy, but I’ll take him there all day.

Round 15

15.01: Pat Freiermuth, PIT TE

15.02: Gus Edwards, BAL RB

15.03: Ryan Tannehill, TEN QB

15.04: Brian Robinson Jr., WAS RB

15.05: Sterling Shepard, NYG WR

15.06: Justin Fields, CHI QB

15.07: Hunter Henry, NE TE

15.08: A.J. Green, ARI WR

15.09: Patriots, NE D/ST

15.10: David Njoku, CLE TE

15.11: Will Fuller, FA WR

15.12: Colts, IND D/ST

Thoughts: Remember, this is similar to a Best Ball Mania III format with three starting wideouts in addition to a normal FLEX, so you probably can’t have too many receivers. A.J. Green pairs with Rondale Moore and gets an early-season boost with DeAndre Hopkins serving his suspension.

Round 16

16.01: Robby Anderson, CAR WR

16.02: Broncos, DEN D/ST

16.03: Saints, NO D/ST

16.04: Laviska Shenault Jr., JAX WR

16.05: Rams, LAR D/ST

16.06: K.J. Osborn, MIN WR

16.07: Chargers, LAC, D/ST

16.08: Noah Fant, SEA TE

16.09: Browns, CLE D/ST

16.10: Trevor Lawrence, JAX QB

16.11: Odell Beckham Jr., FA WR

16.12: Chiefs, KC D/ST

Round 17

17.01: Justin Tucker, BAL K

17.02: Tyler Bass, BUF K

17.03: Matt Gay, LAR K

17.04: Daniel Carlson, LV K

17.05: Greg Zuerlein, NYJ K

17.06: Ryan Succop, TB K

17.07: Evan McPherson, CIN K

17.08: Harrison Butker, KC K

17.09: Jason Sanders, MIA K

17.10: Matt Prater, ARI K

17.11L Younghoe Koo, ATL K

17.12: Rodrigo Blankenship, IND K
