As stated last week, preseason DFS can be very tricky due to uncertainty about playing time, so keeping an eye on game lines via FanDuel is a little trick for teams that keep their plans close to the vest. Feel free to reach out with any questions, and these players might be updated as news comes in.

BUF @ PIT, ARI @ IND, WAS @ MIA, SEA @ TEN, NYJ @ CAR, LAR @ LAC, TB @ JAX, DAL @ LV
QB: Jeff Driskel, WAS
The Commanders will be without both Marcus Mariota (groin) and rookie Sam Hartman (shoulder) this weekend, so Driskel should see the bulk of the snaps after Jayden Daniels gets his work in. Malik Willis is another backup to consider, but Driskel brings similar rushing upside and had 15 pass attempts in the preseason opener.
RB: Bucky Irving, TB
Irving paid off with a trip to the end zone last week, and the Bucs—after having one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL in 2023—will want him to build on the debut as a strong complement to Rachaad White for the regular season. There is some danger here with the starters not playing again for Tampa Bay if Irving already impressed enough, but we expect he’ll see time as a fourth-round pick.
RB: Tyler Goodson, IND
Jaylen Wright isn’t dressed for Miami, so we’re moving Goodson up from the FLEX spot as someone that should draw a start with Indy’s key players resting. Last week, Goodson was able to find the end zone and was the No. 3 back behind Jonathan Taylor and Trey Sermon.
WR: Jahan Dotson, WAS
Dotson is suddenly in a battle for the No. 2 receiver job, and we would guess that means the coaching staff giving him a chance to shine—whether it’s catching passes from Jayden Daniels or Jeff Driskel. Last week, Dotson played into the second half and caught two passes for 13 yards.
WR: Calvin Austin III, PIT
Russell Wilson is set to make his Pittsburgh debut on Saturday night, and it’s easy to imagine him uncorking a deep ball to Austin early on. Either way, the five-foot-nine wideout should remain a factor whenever Justin Fields enters the lineup, so he’ll bring a good blend of safety and ceiling.
WR: Parker Washington, JAX
Unlike the preseason opener, Jacksonville won’t be playing their starters this week—which might mean Washington also sees limited action based on how impressive he’s been. Still, the second-year wideout has reportedly been great in joint practices with Tampa Bay, so hopefully he can carry it into game action.
TE: Ja’Tavion Sanders, CAR
Sanders didn’t draw a target in his first NFL appearance, but Carolina needs to see what they have at tight end—potentially making him more of a factor versus the Jets.
FLEX: Jha’Quan Jackson, TEN
Jackson is a threat to get a big return after almost breaking one in his preseason debut, and we hope Tennessee will also try to get him more involved offensively—especially with Mason Rudolph set to play after Malik Willis in a change from last week.
DEF: Las Vegas Raiders
Trey Lance and the Dallas offense couldn’t do much last week in a close loss to the Rams, and Las Vegas could be a tough opponent to get on track against with Maxx Crosby and the starters set to play again. Overall, the mentality for Antonio Pierce’s defense makes them appealing no matter who is in the game.
