2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft 6.0: 8-Team, Standard

Training camps have opened all around the NFL, and we are a little over a month away from Labor Day weekend and the primary period to hold a fantasy draft. Our mock today is a little different with a smaller eight-team league, but previous mocks can be viewed at the links below:

Mock 1.0: 12-Team, 0.5 PPR

Mock 2.0: 10-Team, Standard

Mock 3.0: 12-Team, Superflex PPR

Mock 4.0: 12-Team, Full PPR (3 WR)

Mock 5.0: 10-Team, 0.5 PPR

Round 1

1.01: Derrick Henry, BAL RB

1.02: Ja’Marr Chase, CIN WR

1.03: Saquon Barkley, PHI RB

1.04: Bijan Robinson, ATL RB

1.05: Jahmyr Gibbs, DET RB

1.06: CeeDee Lamb, DAL WR

1.07: Justin Jefferson, MIN WR

1.08: Puka Nacua, LAR WR

Thoughts: Jefferson has a case for the only unquestioned “elite, elite” fantasy option left. Hopefully he can match or improve on his 1,500+ yard, 10-touchdown campaign despite a new quarterback.

Round 2

2.01: Malik Nabers, NYG WR

2.02: Ashton Jeanty, LV RB

2.03: Brian Thomas Jr., JAX WR

2.04: Nico Collins, HOU WR

2.05: Christian McCaffrey, SF RB

2.06: A.J. Brown, PHI WR

2.07: Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET WR

2.08: Ladd McConkey, LAC WR

Thoughts: We were able to follow up Jefferson with a potential rookie running back workhorse in Jeanty, who has a legitimate chance to push near 2,000 total yards in Chip Kelly’s offense.

Round 3

3.01: De’Von Achane, MIA RB

3.02: Jonathan Taylor, IND RB

3.03: Josh Jacobs, GB RB

3.04: Drake London, ATL WR

3.05: George Kittle, SF TE

3.06: Brock Bowers, LV TE

3.07: Kyren Williams, LAR RB

3.08: Bucky Irving, TB RB

Thoughts: It was very surprising to see Jonathan Taylor last until Round 3, as he easily could’ve been the pick early last round. It shows how stacked rosters in eight-team leagues can get that we still had the choice of a few star running backs at this stage, opting for Kyren Williams remaining an engine for the Rams.

Round 4

4.01: James Cook, BUF RB

4.02: Josh Allen, BUF QB

4.03: Chase Brown, CIN RB

4.04: Marvin Harrison Jr., ARI WR

4.05: Tee Higgins, CIN WR

4.06: Mike Evans, TB WR

4.07: Lamar Jackson, BAL QB

4.08: Tyreek Hill, MIA WR

Thoughts: With a Jefferson-Jeanty-Williams start—and feeling confident about rounding out the starting lineup—let’s add a difference-making quarterback option in Allen.

Round 5

5.01: Jayden Daniels, WAS QB

5.02: Breece Hall, NYJ RB

5.03: Davante Adams, LAR WR

5.04: Trey McBride, ARI TE

5.05: Omarion Hampton, LAC RB

5.06: Kenneth Walker III, SEA RB

5.07: David Montgomery, DET RB

5.08: Chuba Hubbard, CAR RB

Thoughts: Montgomery would be a solid pick in just about every format, but he arguably gets a boost in standard leagues as a hammer for Detroit’s top-shelf attack. Montgomery has 25 touchdowns (plus one passing) in two seasons with the Lions.

Round 6

6.01: Jalen Hurts, PHI QB

6.02: Jameson Williams, DET WR

6.03: Alvin Kamara, NO RB

6.04: TreVeyon Henderson, NE RB

6.05: James Conner, ARI RB

6.06: DeVonta Smith, PHI WR

6.07: Joe Mixon, HOU RB

6.08: Isiah Pacheco, KC RB

Thoughts: Let’s follow up D-Mo with Jamo, who can put up crooked fantasy numbers in an instant—and gets a boost in standard leagues. Jalen Hurts going this late was another surprise.

Round 7

7.01: D’Andre Swift, CHI RB

7.02: RJ Harvey, DEN RB

7.03: DJ Moore, CHI WR

7.04: Joe Burrow, CIN QB

7.05: Patrick Mahomes, KC QB

7.06: Baker Mayfield, TB QB

7.07: Garrett Wilson, NYJ WR

7.08: Aaron Jones Sr., MIN RB

Thoughts: With lines of 83/1,103/4, 95/1,042/3, and 101/1,104/7 through three NFL seasons, Wilson is a better pick in formats awarding points for receptions. But Justin Fields is likely to pepper Wilson with targets this year.

Round 8

8.01: Terry McLaurin, WAS WR

8.02: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, SEA WR

8.03: Kaleb Johnson, PIT RB

8.04: Xavier Worthy, KC WR

8.05: DK Metcalf, PIT WR

8.06: Rashee Rice, KC WR

8.07: Tony Pollard, TEN RB

8.08: Brian Robinson Jr., WAS RB

Thoughts: JSN also fits the mold as someone who is dinged a bit in standard leagues, but we can mix the lineup up depending on matchup. The Chiefs receivers who went shortly after this were also in consideration here.

Round 9

9.01: Courtland Sutton, DEN WR

9.02: Tyrone Tracy Jr., NYG RB

9.03: Najee Harris, LAC RB

9.04: Zay Flowers, BAL WR

9.05: Jaylen Warren, PIT RB

9.06: Tetairoa McMillan, CAR WR

9.07: Travis Etienne Jr., JAX RB

9.08: Quinshon Judkins, CLE RB

Thoughts: Etienne was going in the first few rounds last summer, so you should feel great if you’re able to get a player of his upside and talent level as your RB4, even in an eight-team league.

Round 10

10.01: Jordan Mason, MIN RB

10.02: George Pickens, DAL WR

10.03: Javonte Williams, DAL RB

10.04: Calvin Ridley, TEN WR

10.05: Rhamondre Stevenson, NE RB

10.06: Chris Olave, NO WR

10.07: Jaylen Waddle, MIA WR

10.08: Jordan Addison, MIN WR

Thoughts: Pickens is another big-play receiver who, like Jameson Williams, can put up points in bunches given how he’s targeted down the field.

Round 11

11.01: Tank Bigsby, JAX RB

11.02: Travis Hunter, JAX WR

11.03: Sam LaPorta, DET TE

11.04: Jayden Reed, GB WR

11.05: Cam Skattebo, NYG RB

11.06: Jerry Jeudy, CLE WR

11.07: Chris Godwin Jr., TB WR

11.08: Rome Odunze, CHI WR

Thoughts: Coming off the ankle injury is probably baked into Godwin’s ADP, but the Bucs star stands out as a value at this stage.

Round 12

12.01: Jauan Jennings, SF WR

12.02: Travis Kelce, KC TE

12.03: Brock Purdy, SF QB

12.04: Kyler Murray, ARI QB

12.05: J.K. Dobbins, DEN RB

12.06: Justin Fields, NYJ QB

12.07: C.J. Stroud, HOU QB

12.08: Jakobi Meyers, LV WR

Thoughts: Kelce remains arguably the best pick in fantasy right now. There’s a chance he doesn’t return close to form in 2025, but it’s not like you have to take him early—and tight end is a position where you can make worse dart throws than the former All-Pro.

Round 13

13.01: Mark Andrews, BAL TE

13.02: T.J. Hockenson, MIN TE

13.03: Ray Davis, BUF RB

13.04: Bo Nix, DEN QB

13.05: Deebo Samuel, WAS WR

13.06: Zach Charbonnet, SEA RB

13.07: Isaiah Likely, BAL TE

13.08: Tucker Kraft, GB TE

Thoughts: If you can get both Likely and Kelce—talented players on two of the NFL’s best teams—you can feel good about one of them potentially hitting as a clear TE1 this season.

Round 14

14.01: David Njoku, CLE TE

14.02: Cooper Kupp, SEA WR

14.03: Stefon Diggs, NE WR

14.04: Tyjae Spears, TEN RB

14.05: Austin Ekeler, WAS RB

14.06: Trey Benson, ARI RB

14.07: Evan Engram, DEN TE

14.08: Tyler Warren, IND TE

Thoughts: We’ll bet on another veteran player looking to get back on track this season. Kupp also works as somewhat of a handcuff to JSN at wide receiver.

Round 15

15.01: Bills D/ST

15.02: Broncos D/ST

15.03: Eagles D/ST

15.04: Ravens D/ST

15.05: Steelers D/ST

15.06: Cameron Dicker, LAC K

15.07: Vikings D/ST

15.08: Texans D/ST

Round 16

16.01: Jake Bates, DET K

16.02: Brandon Aubrey, DAL K

16.03: Lions D/ST

16.04: Ka’imi Fairbairn, HOU K

16.05: Wil Lutz, DEN K

16.06: Jason Sanders, MIA K

16.07: Chase McLaughlin, TB K

16.08: Tyler Bass, BUF K
