Team of the Week
QB: Joe Burrow, CIN
It came in a losing effort with the Ravens finding a way to win at the end, but Burrow was lights out last Thursday night—throwing for 428 yards and four touchdowns on 56 attempts on his way to 33.72 fantasy points. Even in a matchup versus the NFL’s top scoring defense of the Chargers next Sunday night, Burrow is a high-end QB1 with nine touchdowns over the past two games.
RB: Bijan Robinson, ATL
Robinson was another star offensive player that went off for his squad despite the loss, and he’s currently the comfortable RB1 of Week 10 with 27.9 fantasy points thanks to 23 touches for 144 total yards and two touchdowns. One of the scores came on fourth-and-goal after three unsuccessful goal-line runs by Tyler Allgeier, and that was perhaps the best part of the showing for Robinson investors.
RB: Chuba Hubbard, CAR
The debut of Jonathon Brooks (knee) will have to wait another two weeks with Carolina heading into the bye, but Hubbard has shown no signs of losing the lead role anyway—rushing 28 times for 153 yards and a touchdown (plus four receptions for 16 yards). A tougher rest-of-season schedule isn’t enough to downgrade Hubbard much based on the consistency he’s shown since a quiet opener.
WR: Ja’Marr Chase, CIN
After allowing a 10/193/2 line to Chase in Week 5, the Ravens still had zero answers for him in the rematch, as he caught 11 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns to nearly end many fantasy matchups before they got started. The former No. 5 overall pick now has three games with 118+ yards and multiple touchdowns this year.
WR: Marquez Valdes-Scantling, NO
Valdes-Scantling was recently signed by the Saints, and he was the star of the offense in his second game with the team—catching all three of his targets for 109 yards and two touchdowns in an upset win over Atlanta. There will surely be quiet games moving forward considering his role, but MVS is now firmly on the fantasy radar and should be a top downfield target for Derek Carr.
TE: Travis Kelce, KC
Kelce continued his hot streak with eight receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown in the thrilling win over Denver, and he could have had an even bigger day if not missed for another score. Still, Kelce has now gone for lines of 10/90/1, 14/100, and 8/64/1 over the past three weeks, so his weekly high-end TE1 outlook is clearly back.
FLEX: Calvin Ridley, TEN
There was some concern about Ridley this week with the Titans going back to Will Levis, but they were able to connect on an early deep ball for six, and then ended the game with another touchdown—totaling five receptions for 84 yards and two scores. Assuming Tennessee continues to make sure Ridley is a priority every game, his stock is pointing up as an upside WR2.
D/ST: Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia was dominant on the road by totaling five takeaways and limiting the rival Cowboys to just 146 total yards and six points—giving them a season-high 20.0 fantasy points in the win. Thursday night against the Commanders will be a major test, but the Eagles have been outstanding since the bye.
K: Tyler Bass, BUF
Bass followed up a game-winning bomb in Week 9 by nailing all six of his kicks (three field goals and three extra points) for 13.0 fantasy points, and Buffalo has their kicker back on track at the perfect time ahead of their showdown versus the Chiefs.
Surprise of the Week: Kyler Murray
The expectation was that Murray would need to produce as a runner to pay off as a start, and he did just that by rushing for 21 yards and two touchdowns to boost him to 28.74 fantasy points. We aren’t discounting Murray’s day through the air, though, as he went 22-of-24 for 266 yards and another score to keep Arizona atop the NFC West heading into the bye.
Disappointment of the Week: Dalton Kincaid
Kincaid was in a great spot versus an Indianapolis defense that has struggled to defend tight ends, but he left with a knee injury in the first half and then was ruled out after trying to return in the third quarter. The emerging star was at least able to catch two passes for 24 yards before leaving, but it’s unfortunate he couldn’t do more on a day where seemingly every top tight end finished among the top 10 at the position.
Rookie of the Week: Bucky Irving
Ricky Pearsall (15.3 fantasy points) deserves an honorable mention, but Irving (16.2) also shined in the same game—turning 16 touches into 87 yards and a touchdown. When the Bucs return from a Week 11 bye, Irving will carry RB2 appeal in cupcake road matchups (@ NYG, @ CAR).
Week 10 MVP: Ja’Marr Chase
The 49.9 fantasy points for Chase will very likely be the top overall score of the season, and he showcased everything from downfield ability to run-after-catch explosiveness last Thursday night. Tougher matchups the rest of the way won’t be enough to slow down Chase—who is now averaging 19.2 fantasy points per game to trail only Derrick Henry (21.1) and Saquon Barkley (19.5) among non-quarterbacks.
