Team of the Week
QB: Josh Allen, BUF
After going for 51.88 fantasy points last week to likely get many into the playoffs, Allen remained white hot with 41.28 fantasy points—totaling 430 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-42 win over Detroit. The NFL MVP favorite is playing out of his mind right now, and he’ll deserve very early draft consideration in 2025 with eight rushing scores over the past five games.
RB: James Conner, ARI
Arizona played through Conner to get on track with a victory against the Patriots—and the veteran turned his 23 touches into 138 yards and two touchdowns to finish with 28.3 fantasy points. Conner is another player that is peaking at the right time, and he’ll be at least a high-end RB2 next week against Carolina.
RB: Jahmyr Gibbs, DET
The Lions didn’t play through the running game much in the loss to Buffalo, but that didn’t prevent Gibbs from an excellent outing with eight carries for 31 yards and a touchdown in addition to five receptions for 83 yards and another score. Now up to the overall RB3 on the season, Gibbs should be better in the rematch against Chicago next week as the only team to hold him under double-digit fantasy points in 2024 (despite 9.7 yards per carry on Thanksgiving).
WR: Davante Adams, NYJ
Adams was on his way to a Week 15 disappointment with zero receptions at halftime for a tremendous matchup against Jacksonville—but he was unstoppable in the second half with nine receptions for 198 yards and two touchdowns. The highlight was a 71-yard score, and Adams’ 38.3 fantasy points were easily a season-best performance.
WR: Mike Evans, TB
The Chargers had no answers for Evans in an eventual blowout loss, as he brought in nine-of-11 targets for 159 yards and two touchdowns—which suddenly puts another 1,000-yard season in reach (251 yards away with three games to play). Next up is a winnable matchup versus a Dallas defense that won’t have Trevon Diggs (knee).
TE: Jonnu Smith, MIA
Smith was the best source of offense for Miami in the loss to Houston with nine receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown—and the hot streak continued with fantasy-point totals of 25.1, 19.2, 16.3, 11.9, and 15.3 over the past five weeks. San Francisco might be tougher next Sunday, but the Dolphins won’t be going away from Smith in a must-win game.
FLEX: Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET
Detroit’s offense held up their end of a shootout with Jared Goff racking up 507 total yards and five touchdowns through the air—and St. Brown was unsurprisingly the primary target with 14 receptions for 193 yards and a touchdown. The performance snaped a bit of a cold spell with fewer than 9.9 fantasy points in three consecutive games, so St. Brown will try to keep it going next week in Chicago.
D/ST: Kansas City Chiefs
Six D/ST options went for more than 15.0 fantasy points on Sunday, and Kansas City led the way by forcing six turnovers and five sacks against Cleveland while holding them to just seven points. The performance could be the momentum needed for the Chiefs to finish strong on defense, especially with Patrick Mahomes (ankle) hobbled.
K: Chase McLaughlin, TB
Kicker also had plenty of high scores this week, and McLaughlin currently tops the leaderboard by hitting all eight of his kicks (four field goals) to total 18.0 fantasy points. Keep rolling with him next week in Dallas.
Surprise of the Week: Mason Rudolph
Rudolph obviously wasn’t a consideration for anyone as a backup for the Titans, but he came off the bench to complete 21-of-26 passes for 209 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception to finish with as many fantasy points (15.76) as Patrick Mahomes. In general, Rudolph stabilizes the offense for Tennessee, and he could get the nod for them over the final three weeks.
Disappointment of the Week: Cooper Kupp
Rams-49ers was a major disappointment as a game with zero touchdowns despite the second-highest over/under of Week 15—but none more so than Kupp after he finished with zero receptions on three targets. It was a worst-case scenario for those counting on Kupp in the fantasy playoffs, and he’ll predictably explode next week against the Jets after many teams with him were eliminated.
Rookie of the Week: Brian Thomas Jr.
Sauce Gardner being back for the Jets made this a tougher draw for Thomas—but it didn’t matter at all with the rookie having his best game yet (10/105/2). An excellent connection with Mac Jones has allowed the former LSU standout to thrive in recent outings, and he’s seen target totals of 10, 12, and 14 since the bye.
Week 15 MVP: Josh Allen
Allen completed 23-of-34 passes for 362 yards and two touchdowns while also adding 11 carries for 68 yards and another two scores in the road win over Detroit—and he’s been putting the Bills and fantasy teams on his back. Look for him to remain on fire for home games against the 3-11 Patriots and 4-10 Jets in the fantasy championship.
