Team of the Week
QB: Caleb Williams, CHI
Williams did it all for the Bears in Week 9, as things got started with a touchdown catch on a trick play to cap off the opening drive—and he was involved more than ever with 280 yards and three touchdowns through the air, 53 yards on the ground, and even had another catch to finish with a 2/22/1 receiving line. The inconsistency has been frustrating, but the 37.7 fantasy points for Williams was one of the top scores of 2025.
RB: Christian McCaffrey, SF
McCaffrey destroying the Giants felt like a lock, and he turned 33 touches into 173 total yards and two total touchdowns on his way to 31.8 fantasy points. The San Francisco had trouble two weeks ago in Houston, but McCaffrey has been as good as ever with 18.7+ fantasy points in every other game this season.
RB: Rico Dowdle, CAR
Carolina went away from Dowdle when Chuba Hubbard returned in Week 7, but two quiet days in a row on offense led to them getting back to what worked in wins over the Dolphins and Cowboys—starting Dowdle and feeding him 25 carries for 130 yards and two touchdowns in an upset win over Green Bay. Going for fantasy-point totals of 30.9, 31.9, and 27.1 in three games as the starter, Dowdle needs to be locked into lineups next week versus New Orleans.
WR: Drake London, ATL
London was an absolute force in the loss to the Patriots—going for a career-best 9/118/3 line on 14 targets while making multiple acrobatic grabs. It was a slow start for London this season, but he’s been on fire recently, and the overall body of work dating back to last season when Michael Penix Jr. took over as the starter makes him a clear WR1 option.
WR: Tee Higgins, CIN
A banged-up Joe Flacco created some uncertainty for Higgins, but he was still a definite WR2 versus a depleted Chicago secondary—taking full advantage of the matchup with seven receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns in a 47-42 loss. Higgins has now gone for lines of 5/62, 6/96/1, 1/44/1, and 7/121/2 in four games with Flacco under center.
TE: Brock Bowers, LV
Four weeks to heal up for Bowers after dealing with a knee injury early in the season clearly paid off—as he went for a career day with 12 receptions for 127 yards and three touchdowns in an overtime loss to Jacksonville. The performance might end up being the best of Bowers’ career, but it was closer to what fantasy owners were expecting from him in Chip Kelly’s offense.
FLEX: Colston Loveland, CHI
Loveland had one of the highlight plays of Week 9 with a game-winning 58-yard touchdown catch in the final seconds, and he had a 6/118/2 line to surpass his production through the first eight weeks of the season. Facing a Cincinnati defense that had bled fantasy points to opposing tight ends helped, but Loveland’s stock is pointing up in Ben Johnson’s offense.
D/ST: Tennessee Titans
The Titans came to play on defense yesterday with six sacks of Justin Herbert, but it was the touchdowns that boosted them to a 20.0-point day—with things getting started on a pick-six and later followed up by a punt return touchdown. The group did have promise entering the year, so we’ll see if they can keep things going after a Week 10 bye.
K: Cam Little, JAX
Although we could have gone with Ka’imi Fairbairn (17.0 fantasy points) over Little (15.0), the record-setting 68-yard field goal gave the edge to Jacksonville’s kicker—rewarding those who stuck with him after a combined negative-one fantasy point in the previous two games. Both guys will be strong options next weekend when the Jaguars visit the Texans.
Surprise of the Week: Joe Flacco
Flacco going off again—especially with all the injuries for Chicago—isn’t a major surprise, but the shoulder injury that left him highly questionable still earns him the honor here. At 41 years old, Flacco is legitimately bolstering his Hall of Fame case as a former Super Bowl MVP that is putting up monster numbers, and the 470 passing yards and four touchdowns yesterday boosted him to a 17-game pace of 5,329 passing yards and a 47:9 touchdown-interception ratio since joining Cincinnati.
Disappointment of the Week: Rome Odunze
On the other side of the 47-42 shootout between the Bengals and Bears, Odunze not getting in on the fun will end up as one of the more disappointing performances of the year—as he didn’t catch any of his three targets despite all the offensive fireworks for both teams. The play of Cincinnati cornerback DJ Turner II had a lot to do with the goose egg for Odunze, but he should fare much better versus the Giants in Week 10.
Rookie of the Week: Colston Loveland
Teammate and fellow rookie Kyle Monangai was a touchdown short of getting the Rookie of the Week selection and still deserves a shout out for how hard he ran with 29 touches for 198 total yards in place of D’Andre Swift (groin)—but Loveland went for 26.8 fantasy points that was only overshadowed by what Brock Bowers did later in the day. With 81.0% of the snaps played in back-to-back games, Loveland will be worth definite lineup consideration moving forward.
Week 9 MVP: Brock Bowers
He did have 103 yards in the opener this season, but a handful of monster games from Bowers as a rookie hadn’t yet happened as he sat out all of October to get healthy—and the rest more than paid off with the 12/127/3 line in Week 9. Again, the performance might end up being the best of his career, and Bowers surely turned plenty of matchups with the late-afternoon outing to give him 37.3 fantasy points.
