Strong performances against inferior competition led to not much movement in this week’s 2022 Heisman Trophy watch.
1. Bryce Young | Alabama QB | Junior | Last week: 1
Bryce Young surprisingly threw a couple of interceptions (his first two of 2022) versus Louisiana-Monroe, but he threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns on just 13/18 passing while also adding another rushing touchdown. Young will now start his second season of SEC play as Bama’s starting quarterback this week.

2. Stetson Bennett | Georgia QB | Senior (RS) | Last week: 2
Stetson Bennett continues to look like one of the best players on the field, and he has a case for No. 1 in the early Heisman Trophy race after leading his team in both passing (284 yards, two touchdowns) and rushing (36 yards, one touchdown) in a 48-7 win at South Carolina. Bennett has been highly efficient through three games.

3. Bijan Robinson | Texas RB | Junior | Last week: 3
After totaling over 200 yards against UTSA, Bijan Robinson is showing what made him one of the Heisman favorites entering 2022. Robinson rushed 20 times for 183 yards and three touchdowns and caught one pass for 19 yards to help No. 22 Texas get to 2-1.

Several players could be in the No. 4 and No. 5 slots this week, but Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud moves back into the top five after tossing five touchdowns on 22/27 passing for 367 yards versus Toledo. Stroud is already up to 11 touchdowns and no picks this year.

Marvin Harrison Jr. has stayed hot, catching two more touchdowns and going over the century mark in yardage for the second consecutive game. Over the past two games, Harrison has 13 receptions for 286 yards and five touchdowns.
