Strengths

Prototype boundary corner with great length. Very good deep/recovery speed. Tremendous field vision and instincts in zone coverage on the outside. Stays low in the backpedal and side shuffle. Impressive movement skills overall for his size. Excellent at reading the quarterback’s eyes. Good feet and hips in man coverage. Limits separation on in-breaking routes. Flashes stickiness in one-on-one coverage. Above average burst and acceleration to break on the ball. Plus ball skills. Competitive at the catch point. Not a spectator when the play is away from him. Good in run support with quality play strength. Fights to get off blocks. Has experience in press man or cushion coverage. Mostly a right cornerback but should be able to play either side.

Weaknesses

Allows too many completions underneath. Beaten deep more than he should be. Would like to see him use length more effectively. Needs to be better keeping outside contain as a tackler.

Conclusion

Overall, Ojemudia has the makings of a prototypical cover-3 cornerback in terms of length, athleticism, and zone instincts, but he also has the traits to be a great in man coverage. I think a team like Seattle or San Francisco where he can mix between zone and matchup man while staying on one side would be the best fit for him as a solid Day 2 prospect.
