Strengths

Extremely long interior defender. Monstrous overall size. Engulfing range as a tackler. Massive hands with great activity and heaviness. Easily sheds blocks. Disruptor that gets upfield penetration. Dominant when focused on shooting gaps. Uses length to keep blockers off his frame. Will engage and jerk offensive lineman away. Ideal blend of power and speed/burst as a straight-line rusher. Height/length allows him to deflect passes at the line of scrimmage. Does a quality job recognizing screen passes. Good effort and competitiveness. Can line up all along the defensive line. Has the strength to set the edge as a 5-technique. Challenged by top competition in the SEC.

Weaknesses

Side-to-side movement is too segmented. Play recognition against the run is average. Struggles to generate movement against double teams. Would like to see more active feet. Plays high and can get stuffed by power. Would have liked him to be more consistently dominant. Only one season of big-time sack production (and it was in 2017).

Conclusion

Overall, Davis is a large disruptor with elite length and flashes of dominance all along the defensive line, and he may be able to have more consistency at the next level by sticking at one position as an attacking 3-technique. The size/traits should make him a great upside target at some point in the second round.
