Strengths
Very bendy and smooth edge defender. Extremely explosive and athletic. Good length and solid overall size. Plus awareness and instincts. Versatile. Exceptional change-of-direction skills. Great closing burst. Uses a jump and swipe move on his speed rush. Possesses a quality spin move. Has flashed a quick inside move. Effective on stunts. Reliable tackler. Hustles to get in on the action. Sets the edge and has the quickness to make the play himself. Does a good job pursuing on the perimeter. Keeps his assignment on zone reads. Comfortable dropping back in coverage. Can line up on either side of the formation. Team leader. Seemed to improve and play faster with added experience. Played well in big games.
Weaknesses
Lacks an effective counter move when tackles get to his frame. Sometimes jumpy before the snap. Might not be a great fit as a 4-3 defensive end.

Conclusion
Overall, Chaisson is an ascending pass rusher that has the natural bend and explosiveness to consistently get to the quarterback, and he should really thrive if paired with another top defender up front. I like the LSU standout best as a 3-4 outside linebacker that can do a bit of everything.
I don’t like comparisons to players from the same school (all Alabama QB are bad in the NFL, etc.) but this one makes sense.
He could shoot up if he kills the combine.
Yep
He showed up late in the year.
He’ll go bottom half of Rd. 1.
