Strengths

Very solid build and good strength. Former track star with great speed. Plus acceleration. Cuts are quick on short/intermediate in or out routes. Comes up with catches in traffic. Reliable hands. Can run a stutter move to get deep. Tracks the ball downfield and catches extremely well over the shoulder. Great on bubble screens. Exceptional contact balance and core strength. Will lower his shoulder as a runner. Tough overall player. Can be used as a gadget player on reserves/handoffs. Willing and very effective blocker. Should bring return value despite zero punt returns at Texas. Played great versus top competition (including LSU in final season). Cousin of Kyler Murray.

Weaknesses

Could clean up route running a bit. Breaks are sometimes too round. Smaller target and catch radius. Will let the ball get to his body. More of a crafty weaver than he his twitchy/explosive to make defenders miss. Played mostly in the slot and saw soft coverages.

Conclusion

Overall, Duvernay is well-built slot receiver with desired reliability and toughness to go along with underrated speed for the position. I think his play against top opponents should have teams optimistic about him developing into a very good No. 2 receiver that is worth taking on Day 2.
