Strengths

Bigger slot with a solid build. Smooth and crafty overall. Has natural deceptiveness and uniqueness running routes. Tough and reliable catching the ball in traffic. Great at going to the ground to make a catch. Tremendous hand-eye coordination. Very good release footwork and feet in general. Quick to sit and get his head around. Works back to the ball. Plus play strength and physicality. Exceptional body control. Very intelligent player. Runs through zones and shows no fear. Seems to know where deep holes are when running vertical routes. Tracks the ball well downfield. Good vision and toughness as a runner. Quality run blocker. Played great against top competition (including Auburn in final game).

Weaknesses

Has good hands but needs to cut down on the drops. Doesn’t have top-tier speed or explosiveness/athleticism. Can sometimes get sloppy at the top of routes. Not as efficient playing outside.

Conclusion

Overall, Johnson is an intelligent and crafty receiver that projects best as a tough possession target working out of the slot. He could fall in the draft with no athletic testing for teams to look at, but I think the speed concerns are overblown, and Johnson is certainly worth taking at some point on Day 2.
