Strengths

Extremely physical at the point of attack. Great versatility along the defensive front. Top-tier instincts. Tremendous overall strength. Big and powerful frame on the edge. Exceptional first-step quickness. Quick crashing down before blockers can get their hands on his frame. Excellent speed and acceleration for his weight class. Great play recognition and reaction time. Forceful and aggressive finisher. Plays extremely hard. Powerful hands. Very strong and effective shedding blocks. Bullies his way through blockers. Fights through double teams. Will use a spin move to free himself. Puts both hands on blockers and extends to effectively use length. Can extend with one arm to hold off an offensive tackle. Quick to defeat a block and make the tackle. Rare balance and avoids going to the ground even when caught by surprise. Very powerful bull rush. Impressive bend as a rusher. Speed/athleticism allows him to stick with mobile quarterbacks. Athletic and aware dropping in coverage. Has lined up over the center in passing situations. Puts hands up for deflections if he doesn’t get home as a rusher.

Weaknesses

Can have more of a plan to win rather than relying on size/talent. Feet will sometimes stall as a rusher. Has some stiffness in his lower half. Could be classified as a tweener in a wrong situation.

Conclusion

Overall, Walker is a strong, aggressive, and versatile defender with great physical traits and the instincts to match them. Based on his final season at Georgia, Walker likely fits best on the edge with the ability to kick inside because of his size and power.
