Strengths

Exceptional ability to forced missed tackles. Accustomed to carrying heavy workloads. Natural elusiveness. Tremendous acceleration. Great vision to recognize opportunities to bounce runs outside or cutback. Will get skinny with power to bullet through a small crease. Terrific second-level vision and sees how things are set up. Allows blocks to develop on perimeter runs. Breakaway speed in space. Excellent juke move. Deadly straight-leg move in space. Able to put together multiple ball-carriers moves. Keeps shoulders square to work downhill. Impressive strength to push the pile and convert short-yardage runs. Low center of gravity and lowers his shoulder into contact. Uses a jump cut to avoid backfield penetration. Intelligent overall player. Covers the ball around traffic and when he feels a tackle coming. Soft hands when targeted out of the backfield. Showed upside as a route runner at the Combine. Very good as a wildcat quarterback. Dominant in win over Michigan (2021).

Weaknesses

Needs to be better in pass protection. Goes down to the ground and lunges rather than squaring up to stone opponents. Patience can be more consistent behind the line of scrimmage. Will sometimes get eager looking for a big play and miss a hole.

Conclusion

Overall, Walker is a talented runner with a rare ability to force missed tackles and a nose for the end zone. If he improves in pass protection, Walker can be a three-down option that can continue to be featured with heavy workloads at the next level.
