Strengths
Big and athletic frame. Very effective gap penetrator. Feet are light and quick. Excellent first-step quickness and burst. Twitchy and relentless along the line of scrimmage. Fires off the ball and immediately gets his hands on the chest of opponents. Wins with early leverage despite height. Will effectively slant down multiple gaps at the snap. Hands are extremely active. Uses rip moves and shoves on the interior. Great quickness to sidestep blockers. Very disruptive on stunts. Good ability to loop around blockers to find a path to the quarterback. Keeps his eyes on the quarterback while rushing. Able to get low at the snap in short-yardage situations. Plays extremely hard. Always hustles to the ball. Aggressive wrapping and getting in on tackles. Combination of closing speed and size can get on opponents quickly. Best as a three-technique but has experience lining up over the center. Shows intensity and passion. Overcame personal adversity by suiting up following the death of his younger sister due to cancer.
Weaknesses
Secondary twitch not as effective if he doesn’t win early. Sometimes stalls out or spins his wheels when stopped early in the rush. Can struggle to bend or suddenly change direction when in position to make a play. Might be washed out by double teams. Suffered a torn ACL in 2021. Missed action in 2022 with kidney infection. Looked noticeably more sluggish in 2022 following injury issues and personal adversity.

Conclusion
Overall, Bresee is an athletic defensive lineman with active hands that fits best in an aggressive, penetrating scheme. Evaluators should view his limited tape in 2021 to get a better idea of his upside as a potential target at the end of the first round.
