Well-built frame with long arms for his height. Very tough and physical. Phenomenal instincts. Exceptional natural strength. Extremely high motor. Tremendous power rush that can knock offensive tackles off balance. Has bend and dip around the corner. Effective rip move on the speed rush. Ideal hand placement on the shoulder of blockers. Very aggressive taking down the quarterback. Excellent speed for an edge defender. Good feet to change direction while tracking a moving passer. Outstanding pursuit and hustle. Great burst to get into the backfield and close on the ball. Routinely made plays in the backfield. Impressive ability to break down in space. Hands are extremely strong to shed blocks. Very stout setting the edge. Physical taking on tight ends in the running game. Will crash inside and clog things up on the line of scrimmage. Mostly a standup rusher but played with his hand in the dirt. Experience dropping back in coverage. Team captain. Routinely came to play versus SEC opponents. Played great versus top competition including slugfest loss to Alabama (2021).

Movements can be stiff/tight. Needs to develop counter moves when he doesn’t initially win. Lacks twitch getting free when attached as a pass rusher. Better as a straight-line rusher and lacks effectiveness on stunts.

Overall, Hall is an impactful edge defender that can get after the quarterback and make plays versus the run. His effort and experience in big games should make Hall a valuable target as a top-50 selection.
