Strengths
Big and imposing with prototype size/length. Outstanding combination of size and athleticism. Physical overall player. Rare speed for his size and closes on the ball in a hurry. Exceptional burst at the snap. Shows a strong straight-arm stab move as a pass rusher. Hands are very effective to the chest of opponents on power rushes. Has shown he can get skinny between blockers. High motor. Will use a spin move to free himself as a rusher. Has the strength to power offensive tackles to the ground. Very quick reaction time around the pocket to takedown the quarterback. Excellent play recognition. Great pursuit to the perimeter and as the backside defender. Will use his reach to make a tackle while being blocked. Size/skillset should allow him to set the edge at a high level. Able to keep tight ends off his frame with full extension. Has shown extreme aggression taking on smaller blockers. Effective crashing down from the edge. Experience in a two-point stance or with his hand in the dirt. Possesses versatility with snaps shaded inside. Flips back and forth on each side of the formation. Has experience dropping in both zone and man coverage.
Weaknesses
Has some general stiffness despite athleticism. Limited fluidity/bend at the top of his rush. Lacks twitch and side-to-side quickness to get free as a pass rusher. Needs to develop a pass-rush plan. Can be stoned and pushed back as a run defender. Sometimes lowers his head and bends forward into contact. Appeared noticeably sluggish in loss to Florida State (2022).

Conclusion
Overall, White is a prototype power edge with an impressive combination of size, speed, and athleticism. The traits give him a clear path for added development as either a 3-4 outside linebacker or 4-3 defensive end.
