Strengths
Monster size with extremely long arms. Body movements are very loose for a bigger edge. Tremendous range as a tackler/finisher. Shows relentlessness getting through blocks. Extreme raw strength to extend and power opponents back. Hits with force as a tackler and taking on blockers. Great strength holding his ground versus the run. High potential as an edge setter. Effective as a backside run defender. Too big and strong for tight ends on the edge. Impressive pursuit and hustle. Bull rush is very powerful. Able to leverage and uproot offensive tackles. Excellent outside power rush with late inside move to finish. Has some dip on the edge. Reaches to attack the ball if he doesn’t get to the quarterback. Shows an ability to slip through blockers. Has lined up as a three-technique. Can be a mismatch as an interior pass rusher. Generates easy push when rushing versus guards. Appears comfortable battling inside. Length is apparent with the space he occupies in zone coverage. Has the athleticism to fall off to cover running backs in the flat.
Weaknesses
Average combination of bend and suddenness. Overall reaction time and instincts are a step slow. Slow diagnosing screen passes. Often unable to move quickly enough and will just miss a tackle. Could lower target area as a tackler to avoid some brush misses. Would have liked to see power rushes used more frequently.

Conclusion
Overall, Wilson is a long and powerful edge defender with high upside as a pass rusher and some inside versatility. He should be considered as a potential top-ten pick with the hopes everything comes together with more consistent usage of power and improved play recognition as his career progresses.
