Strengths
Athletic and powerful build with tremendous length. Plays wide with great foundational balance. Physical and aggressive overall play style. Extremely strong hands. Tremendous hand fighting in pass protection. Very aggressive on punches and comfortable being a brawler. Calmly speeds up pass sets versus speed rushes. Able to quickly anchor down if jolted as a pass protector. Quick enough to react to and counter inside rushes. Outstanding feel for picking up stunts. Stays patient and avoids going downfield early with no one to block. Great understanding of running lanes and how to shield off defenders. Nimble on interior pulls from offensive tackle. Stays engaged when he gets attached on the second level. Springs ball-carriers with second-level blocks. Excellent vision and awareness in space. Exceptional acceleration and speed. Accurate blocking smaller defenders in the open field. Can flatten opponents with a head of steam. Hustles to get in on the action and push the pile. Plays with ideal competitiveness. Appeared to play through injury or pain in SEC Championship win over LSU (2022).
Weaknesses
Showed some issues versus pure speed and twitchy counter moves. Can get on his heels and lower his eyes when engaging. Needs to improve overall technique both as a run blocker and in pass protection.

Conclusion
Overall, Jones is an athletic and physical offensive tackle with the ability to be a star if he cleans up his technique with more experience. Teams looking for a blindside protector in the top ten should have Jones towards the top of their board.
