Strengths

Excellent overall size and plus length. Very poised in pass protection. Pass sets are very smooth. Tremendous anchor strength versus power rushes. Outstanding balance as a pass protector. Stays wide and square. Can set a sudden anchor when length is able to reach his upper frame. Very effective using hands to create distance from rushers. Uses the momentum of speed rushers against them. Will be aggressive with a strike if a pass rusher stalls out. Prepared to fight off inside moves and neutralize spins. Quick to power opponents to the ground if they lunge. Shows flashes of dominance as a run blocker. Natural athleticism shown when quickly flipping to his feet after body slamming opponents. Hits the chest of opponents on down blocks. Good mobility and aggressiveness on pulls. Great working to the second level at his size. Can obliterate defensive backs in space. Starting experience at both right and left tackle. Started two games at guard. Played extremely well versus Alabama star Will Anderson Jr. and SEC competition in general. Excellent hustle on would-be interception that was overturned by penalty late in win over Alabama (2022). Showed a noticeable edge versus Kentucky (2022).

Weaknesses

Would like to see more consistent domination in the running game. Will drop his eyes and miss with a lunging block attempt at times. Can be slow reacting to aggressive defenders in space. Might have issues with top speed rushers and mirroring versus explosiveness. Sometimes a tick slow picking up stunts. Will get upright rather than trying to finish with the play still going.

Conclusion

Overall, Wright is a well-rounded offensive lineman that profiles best as a right tackle with positional versatility at the next level. If he shows the dominance in the running game that he did versus Kentucky on a weekly basis, Wright should be a strong value at the end of the first round.
