Strengths
Phenomenal contact balance. Very instinctive runner that sees the entire field. Tremendous speed and explosiveness. Just needs a crease to break a long run. Outstanding vision on the edge and waits for second-level blocks to develop. Sticks his foot in the ground on cuts and doesn’t waste time picking up yardage. Subtly moves his body to avoid defenders getting a clean grip on him. Uses a side-step juke move to slither past defenders. Makes defenders miss in the hole. Will hit the accelerator in the open field to destroy a pursuit angle. Terrific feet to avoid low tackles without breaking stride. Very effective stiff arm and is always ready to use it. Can finish runs with physicality. Lowers his shoulder to split defenders rather than dancing. Great combination of backside vision and quickness. Dangerous outlet target that will make defenses pay for keeping him uncovered. Very good on angle routes with the ability to run a complex route tree. Excellent hands and catches without breaking stride. Can split out wide or in the slot. Used on pop passes. High awareness on underneath routes and presents a target to the quarterback when open. Covers the ball on contact and didn’t fumble in lone season at Alabama. Has experience as a kick returner.
Weaknesses
Sometimes too eager towards the sideline past the line of scrimmage and will miss a late cutback opportunity. Bottled up until late touchdown versus an aggressive Auburn defense (2022). Needs to be stronger and more consistent in pass protection. Showed hesitation catching over the middle when led towards traffic. Might lack the size to handle 20-25 touches at the next level.

Conclusion
Overall, Gibbs is a dynamic running back that will rip off chunk yardage on the ground and can be deadly as a pass-catcher. The complete skillset makes him worth selecting as a top-15 pick with the potential to transform an offense simply by making things easier on the quarterback and passing game in general.
