Strengths
Video-game quickness and acceleration. Fast and runs routes at ideal speed. Creative as a route runner. Great release footwork to keep cornerbacks from being too aggressive in press coverage. Patient to get separation on slant routes. Creates space at the stem of routes on outs and corners from the slot. Runs with full speed on out routes with tremendous feet on throws that draw him to the sideline. Gets on the heels of opponents to eat up cushion coverage. Will break off a vertical routes to quickly cross the face of cornerbacks with an in-breaking cut. Can lose cornerbacks by quickly breaking off routes in general. Superb head manipulation on double moves. Outstanding downfield tracking ability. Catches the ball very cleanly over either shoulder. Knows how to run routes through zone coverage over the middle to set up yardage after the catch. Great instincts and vision to make guys miss. Cuts are extremely quick. Terrific juke move. Able to string a bunch of moves together (screen pass for a highlight gain versus Cincinnati in 2021). Plenty of experience both outside and in the slot. Dangerous punt returner.
Weaknesses
Very thin overall build. Fast but not quite blazing vertical speed considering his size and play style. Inconsistent hands. Can be completely knocked off the tracks when opponents connect with jams. Sometimes absorbed/erased underneath. Would like to see him continue to run full-speed routes on screens and designed runs. Shows effort but doesn’t offer a ton as a blocker.

Conclusion
Overall, Dell is a big-play weapon with outstanding ability to create separation and track the ball downfield. The frame and lack of top-tier speed might make him a better target for teams late on Day 2.
