Strengths
Extremely high awareness and intelligence. Powerful build with a huge lower half. Balanced base and usually doesn’t get moved. Very strong hands and impressive length. Good understanding of leverage. Always plays under control as a pass blocker. Excellent fundamentals and posture in pass protection. Outstanding mirror skills and quickness. Extremely quick out of his stance in pass sets. Gets ideal depth as a pass protector. Effectively uses length to keep rushers at a distance. Keeps feet moving with hands attached. Great recovery anchor versus power rushes. Excellent ability to recover in pass protection. Straightens posture if he finds himself leaning. Instantly moves his feet to erase inside moves. Unphased by spin moves. Tremendous feel for handling stunts. Consistently aggressive as a run blocker. Quick off the ball on down blocks. Smooth working up to linebackers at the second level. Strikes accurately and will uproot defenders in short-yardage situations. Good ability to accelerate on backside pulls. Gets in on the pile to assist ball-carriers. Helps up teammates and flows to the action. A+ football character.
Weaknesses
Not quite as polished in the running game. Doesn’t connect with the same accuracy when on the move. Could be better getting to the spot and turning defenders to create a seal on reach blocks. Beaten multiple times in the fourth quarter of loss to Ohio State (2023).

Conclusion
Overall, Fashanu is a tremendous offensive tackle prospect with on-point fundamentals in pass protection and high intelligence. The skills and awareness combined with the football character should make him a top-five prospect in the class.
