Strengths
Extremely confident and effective in press man coverage. Very strong and aggressive. Quick hands at the snap. Subtle with his use of contact/physicality. Outstanding feet to mirror releases. Patient defending a slow-played release. Excellent feet in the backpedal and side shuffle. Tremendous feel for where is man in with eyes on the quarterback in the side shuffle. Closes off space quickly if he allows some separation on route breaks. Always seems to be close at the catch point. Very comfortable face guarding and sticking to opponents with his back to the quarterback. Stays on the hip of opponents and gets a hand in at the catch point. Great ability to not allow catches on short in-breaking routes. Stays right on in-breaking routes in general. Quick feet to match comebacks and stop routes. Very good speed to run with faster opponents down the field. Experience at both outside cornerback spots. Has followed top wideouts into the slot at times. Effective tackling after the catch. Wraps to bring down opponents. Ideal pursuit and aggressiveness in run support. Will quickly shed blockers. Phenomenal versus superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers and high-powered LSU offense (2023).
Weaknesses
Could get too grabby and aggressive. Needs to be careful about hand placement on the shoulder of opponents from trail position. Seems to be slightly robotic opening up vertically and can fall a step behind. Had some miscommunications in zone coverage that left guys open underneath. Sometimes loses his assignment on route combinations and through traffic. Limited ball production and looks for breakups rather than interceptions. Adjusted to win the final battle but allowed a couple of back-shoulder completions to six-foot-five wide receiver Colbie Young (Miami 2023).

Conclusion
Overall, Green is an aggressive press-man cornerback with outstanding feet and mirror skills to stick with anyone. For teams that play heavy man coverage, he has a legitimate case to be a first-round pick and the top cornerback off the board.
