Strengths

Very long arms for his size. Huge hands. Excellent change-of-direction skills. Great overall athleticism. Outstanding burst. Tremendous speed for a defensive lineman. Uses shake to side step offensive linemen as a rusher. Will strike/club opponents and go when given a path. Extremely quick swim move. Shows a quick spin move. Flashes pure power on bull rushes. Keeps his feet moving to generate a push. Good strength and effort to break through double teams as a rusher. Slaps down the reach of opponents. Impressive fluidity looping to rush on stunts. Hands are quick and smooth to shed. Able to pair hand usage with a side step to avoid being blocked. Gets full extension to create space to peak into the backfield. Very impressive strength to hold up using length and digging in versus centers. Tremendous range to get to the spot for a tackle. Able to torpedo low to create a jam in short-yardage situations. Looked comfortable when used on short zone drops. Shows major intensity and fire. Will continually yell after making a big play.

Weaknesses

Undersized in terms of weight. Can get pushed around if he doesn’t have his feet underneath him. Moved off the spot on down blocks. Double teams will push him back if slow off the ball. Will get his upper body turned/twisted around despite keeping feet in the ground. Some attempts to side step blockers create a crease for ball-carriers. Could have trouble finding the ball and will completely lose track of it at times. Stalls out early at times as a rusher.

Conclusion

Overall, Hall is an athletic, penetrating defensive lineman that knows how to side step blockers but also has impressive strength. He still has room to grow as one of the youngest players in the draft and will be a solid developmental target in the third round.
