Strengths
Good overall build with above-average length. Impressive strength. Excellent burst off the ball. Will show extreme patience and then make his move as a rusher. Shows quality corner bend. Great hop-and-stab move on the speed rush. Quick inside move. Flashed a powerful bull rush attacking the inside shoulder of tackles. Able to get skinny working inside. Tremendous closing speed and accelerates to the ball. Forceful finisher when he gets to the quarterback. Good ability to sense and track down quarterbacks escaping the pocket. Has plenty of pressures/hits that impact throws even when he doesn’t get home. Outstanding pursuit. Accurate hand placement and quick to extend. Stacks at the point of attack. Excellent balance to stay on his feet even if opponents gain leverage. Will get wide to set the edge and dive inside to make the tackle. Physical and uses two hands to take on tight ends. Has no problem overpowering smaller opponents. Stays home as the backside defender to clean up cutbacks. Mostly played the left side but has experience lining up on both sides of the formation. Has seen snaps shaded inside over the guard. Comfortable when used to drop in coverage. Ran downfield in coverage a couple of times versus explosive Tennessee offense (2022). Blocked a field goal and returned it for a touchdown before it was called back (Texas A&M 2023).
Weaknesses
General movements can be stiff and get stalled out. Shows limited counter twitch if initial rush is stopped. Sometimes stoned as a run defender versus better offensive linemen. Could be better holding his ground in short-yardage situations. Not quite a full-time player and was out in some key spots versus Michigan (2023).

Conclusion
Overall, Braswell is a very solid defender that can create pressure and track down the quarterback off the edge. His best fit will likely be in a situational role to begin his career with hopes that he further develops his game to become more than a role player.
