Strengths

Big and long frame. Powerful overall build. Top-tier strength. Plays with great overall effort. Excellent play recognition. Extremely aggressive taking on blockers. Does not back down. Hands are huge and powerful. Active hands and quick to disengage. Very accurate overall hand placement. Excellent using hands/reach to attack the frame of offensive linemen. Great ability to set the edge. Steers himself into position for a tackle while taking on blocks. Physical working inside. Powerful to push tight ends into the backfield. Aggressive taking on pullers. Terrific patience and technique playing zone reads. Great pursuit to the sideline. Relentless and instinctive finding the ball. Will engulf opponents as a finisher. Extremely strong extending on power rushes. Gets offensive tackles off balance by getting to their frame. Relentless on inside moves as a rusher. Very effective pull-down move. Shows an ability to turn the corner and close on the quarterback. Can disrupt passing lanes and get in the face of quarterbacks. Mostly a 4-3 defensive end but has experience in a two-point stance or shading inside. Team captain with outstanding football character. Would organize his own team workouts. Played tremendous versus LSU and showed very well containing quarterback Jayden Daniels (2023).

Weaknesses

Below-average speed and range on the edge. Limited in terms of sudden change of direction. Sometimes a tick slow trying to make a tackle to his side. Can get moved off the spot some when opponents latch on. Pushed by double teams that catch him from the side. Might need to tone down the aggressiveness with multiple instances of pulling off an opponent’s helmet while making the tackle.

Conclusion

Overall, Robinson is a technically sound brawler with outstanding size, power, and football character. Even if he doesn’t turn into an All-Pro caliber player, it’s easy to imagine him being an important piece of a top NFL defense.
