Strengths
Outstanding size and length. Impressive natural athleticism. Extremely light on his feet. Top-tier speed for an offensive lineman. Tremendous football character. Will battle on every play. Very aggressive finishing blocks and hustling. Routinely gets scrappy and seems to play with anger. Hands are extremely strong. Flashes the ability to drive at a high level when he latches accurately and keeps his feet under him. Plenty of experience on zone blocks. Generates easy push when he connects with linebackers. Great fluidity turning his hips and redirecting. Excellent acceleration. Very comfortable getting out in space. Used on interior pulls. Exceptional strength to hold up versus power rushes. Strong hands to stay attached in pass protection. Uses hands to combat rushers and slap down their reach. Calm and patient in pass sets with no one to block. Made starts at both left and right tackle. Cousin of All-Pro offensive tackle Penei Sewell.
Weaknesses
Needs to clean up technique to be more accurate and controlled. Lowers his eyes into contact too much. Will lunge on the second level and in general. Struggles with speed and quickness in pass protection. Feet can be lumbering with slow reaction time. Gets too upright at times. Will overset and leave the door open inside. Needs to be quicker shielding off inside spin moves.

Conclusion
Overall, Suamataia is an aggressive and athletic offensive tackle with ideal football character and flashes of high-level play. If he can become more technical to match the fight shown, Suamataia will pay dividends as a late Day 1 or early Day 2 selection.
