Strengths
Powerful overall build and thick lower half. Runs low to the ground despite height. Extremely strong. Falls forward on contact and will lunge for extra yardage. Outstanding feet and feel through traffic between the tackles. Top-notch vision and pacing as a zone runner. Tremendous acceleration for a bigger back. Very patient to allow a crease to develop and will burst through it. Keeps his shoulders square while making jump cuts behind the line of scrimmage. Sticks his foot in the ground and picks up positive yardage. Doesn’t unnecessarily bounce runs. Lowers the shoulder to truck defenders. Tremendous ability to power through would-be tacklers on the second level. Has defenders bounce off him in the open field. Great balance/strength to keep his feet as defenders try to bring him down. Quick and powerful stiff arm. Possesses some burst into the open field to create poor angles for defenders. Good feet with enough wiggle to make linebackers miss in space. Steps out of low tackle attempts. Will hop and skip to avoid tackles in scoring territory with a nose for the end zone. Experience with various blocking schemes and formations. Three-down back that was usually on the field for passing situations. Quality hands for on-target passes. Often used on shuffle screen passes up the middle. Shows some shake as a route runner on angle/option routes. Stands in strong with good technique as a pass blocker. Excellent vision/awareness in pass protection. Has shown he can stone blitzers.
Weaknesses
Average breakaway speed in the open field. Limited creativity to make things happen on his own with sub-par blocking. Could struggle to make defenders miss when faced with backfield penetration. Ball security is a concern at times (two fumbles early versus Ohio State in 2023).

Conclusion
Overall, Allen is a big, powerful runner with workhorse potential behind a top offensive line at the next level. He might slip in a deep class, but the fit in any blocking scheme (zone, gap, and power) and being a wrecking ball in the open field should get him drafted early on Day 2.
