Strengths

Extremely long and athletic. Smooth overall movement skills. Great instincts and feel for play design. Outstanding ball skills. Takes the ball away over the middle. Reads the quarterback’s eyes as a robber and gets in position to make a play on the ball. Terrific hand-eye coordination to come away with tipped passes. Tremendous ranging to the sideline in coverage. Tracks and high-points passes. Very good runner with the ball in his hands. Will drop in the slot to cover tight ends. Excellent matching route breaks down the field versus tight ends. Sticks with corner routes. Can erase tight ends down the seam. Has the size and skillset to match top tight ends in general. Closes on separation when playing off-man coverage. Quick coming up to tackle on underneath passes. Outstanding range as a tackler. Strikes at the ball as a tackler and will force fumbles. Drops down in the come and comes up to tackle ball-carriers. Very fast on run blitzes and deep blitzes. Doesn’t tip his hand as a blitzer. Has special teams experience with time on punt coverage and a blocked field goal.

Weaknesses

Might have average speed that was hidden by split-safety looks. Can be too focused on watching the quarterback and float to nowhere in deep coverage. Seeking interceptions could lead to leaving teammates one-on-one down the field. Aggressiveness can probably be used against him with eye manipulation by NFL quarterbacks. Could be stronger considering size. Not as physical when unable to be the attacker.

Conclusion

Overall, Nubin is an impact playmaker that will find ways to get his hands on the ball and force takeaways. The size, movement skills, and instincts should make him a safety that can fit in various schemes/roles for an NFL defense.
