Strengths
Excellent speed. Outstanding acceleration. Strong and reliable hands. Catches the ball very cleanly on the run. Great catch focus. Exceptional ability to win on the release and run away to separate. Quick inside release on drag routes to get a step. Very effective on deep crossing routes. Tracks the ball very well working across the field. Can suddenly break off back to the quarterback on stop routes. Crisp on short out routes. Excellent on post routes from the slot. Fast on clearout routes from the slot. Tremendous toughness to take a hit and hold on. Terrific feel for open space in coverage and getting his head around. Will see when he has the defender beat and put his hand up. Has made highlight grabs in contested coverage. Great high-point ability for a player his size. Flashed use of subtle physicality to separate. Mostly played the slot and close split alignments but has lined up outside the numbers. Often targeted on designed throws in the flat. Uses a strong stiff arm near the sideline. Very tough and accurate as a blocker. Doesn’t back down from opponents.
Weaknesses
Seemed to repeat the same route concepts over and over. Cornerbacks appear to get a read on routes deeper down the field. Needs to be better dealing with defenders shading towards his route break. Rounds off too many deeper in-breaking routes. Doesn’t separate from the press if he fails to win early. Can be stopped by aggressive jams. Doesn’t run by cornerbacks on downfield routes despite speed. Often appears to be coasting with the ball in his hands rather than in a full sprint to maximize yardage. Hasn’t shown much make-you-miss twitch as a runner. Would like him to be stronger as a blocker.

Conclusion
Overall, Wilson is a reliable weapon in the slot with strong hands, crispness underneath, and toughness making grabs. He should be a more productive weapon at the next level with an expanded route tree and passing attack in general.
