2024 NFL Power Rankings: Week 11

The top several teams remain in the same slots for the Week 11 NFL power rankings.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) | Last week: 1

Linebacker Leo Chenal came through with a blocked field goal on the final play, helping the Chiefs remain unbeaten after the Broncos put them on the ropes at Arrowhead. Kansas City just knows how to win games.

2. Detroit Lions (8-1) | Last week: 2

The Lions are becoming a squad that also simply knows how to win games, as they overcame five Jared Goff turnovers (one “interception” looked like a strip sack fumble, and another was on a Hail Mary at the end of the half) to beat the Texans on the road. Winning ugly games can be the mark of a great team.

3. Buffalo Bills (8-2) | Last week: 3

Taron Johnson got an immediate pick-six to begin the Bills’ Week 10 win at the Colts, and they’ll need plays like that this Sunday against the Chiefs—especially while dealing with a banged up receiving group that’ll be without Keon Coleman (wrist) and potentially without Dalton Kincaid (knee).

4. Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) | Last week: 4

Jalen Hurts got his first career win at Dallas in emphatic fashion, recording four total touchdowns to stay hot for an Eagles team that’s been great since the bye week. Philly is looking to assert themselves in the NFC East when they host Washington tomorrow night.

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) | Last week: 5

Mike Wiliams was a perfect addition at the deadline and already came through with a game-winning touchdown—while the defense tightened up late to beat the Commanders. I’ve been very high on the Steelers since the move to Russell Wilson at quarterback, and I’m kicking myself for not picking them to make the postseason over the Jets (partly due to the uncertainty around Wilson’s health).

6. Baltimore Ravens (7-3) | Last week: 6

The Ravens found a way to win behind four Lamar Jackson passing touchdowns, but I don’t know how you can feel good about how the defense has played this season. A ton is on the shoulders of the Baltimore offense, but we could get more of a defensive battle this week against the Steelers.

7. San Francisco 49ers (5-4) | Last week: 7

Brock Purdy was outstanding in San Francisco’s tougher-than-expected win over the Bucs, with the best play being a total dime to George Kittle in the corner of the end zone on a scramble play. It was great to see Christian McCaffrey on the field looking like his usual self in his 2024 debut.

8. Minnesota Vikings (7-2) | Last week: 9 (+1)

The Vikings won despite three turnovers and no touchdowns scored, but it’s another example of a good team finding a way to win. Next up are the Titans, so Minnesota is favored to get to 8-2.

9. Green Bay Packers (6-3) | Last week: 11 (+2)

I’m watching the health of quarterback Jordan Love (groin) as the Packers emerge from the bye week. Look for a heavy dose of a fresh Josh Jacobs to help take pressure off the passing game and defense.

10. Los Angeles Chargers (6-3) | Last week: 13 (+3)

Give them credit for taking care of business, but it should be noted that the Chargers have five of their six wins over teams currently with three or fewer wins. They’ll be tested more over the next six games: vs. CIN, vs. BAL, at ATL, at KC, vs. TB, and vs. DEN.

11. Houston Texans (6-4) | Last week: 10 (-1)

Lost in the struggles the offensive line had a couple of weeks ago and the all-around powerful showings from both defenses in the Lions matchup is that second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud is going through somewhat of a sophomore slump—the miss to Tank Dell for a touchdown that would’ve put Houston up 30-13 was perhaps the turning point of the loss to Detroit. That said, it’ll be a boost to get star receiver Nico Collins back this Monday night at Dallas.

12. Arizona Cardinals (6-4) | Last week: 14 (+2)

Winners of four straight, the Cardinals are allowing just 14.3 points per game in this span, while Kyler Murray just played one of his best games in the blowout win versus the Jets. The cornerback group might not be household names, but they’re playing at a high level.

13. Washington Commanders (7-3) | Last week: 8 (-5)

No doubt, they have been playing very solid all year and it was a very close loss to the Steelers, but the upside of the Commanders is a question for me right now. Still, they’re in a good spot at 7-3 and can make a statement at Philadelphia on TNF.

14. Atlanta Falcons (6-4) | Last week: 12 (-2)

Three missed field goals by Younghoe Koo were a surprising sight, and it was costly in the three-point loss while gaining 468 yards of offense. The Atlanta defense had an off game, too, despite giving up just 20 points—with some holes that could’ve been worse if not for a dropped long touchdown by Alvin Kamara.

15. Denver Broncos (5-5) | Last week: 17 (+2)

Losing on what should basically have been a lock game-winning field goal at Kansas City is heartbreaking for the Broncos, but they can be highly encouraged by the way they played and the way rookie quarterback Bo Nix continues to emerge as a stud. While taking on arguably the league’s top defense, Nix was calm and steady in putting the team in position for field goals at the end of both halves.

16. Cincinnati Bengals (4-6) | Last week: 16

It’s crazy that Ja’Marr Chase torched the Ravens twice this year yet Cincy lost both games. There isn’t a big margin of error for the Bengals, but they’re still right in the AFC wild card mix ahead of a huge Sunday night matchup at the Chargers.

17. Los Angeles Rams (4-5) | Last week: 15 (-2)

The Rams got healthier on the offensive line, but it looks like it might take some time for the unit to gel after struggling in the loss to the Dolphins. The young defense should fly around this Sunday at Foxboro.

18. Seattle Seahawks (4-5) | Last week: 20 (+2)

We’ll see if the Seahawks figured things out during the bye. They’ll be tested quick with a trip to San Francisco, hopefully with a healthy DK Metcalf (knee).

19. Miami Dolphins (3-6) | Last week: 24 (+5)

I stated last week that the Dolphins, on paper, have a prime opportunity to get to 5-6 after the next few weeks. Arguably the most challenging step was accomplished in beating the Rams on the road. Now they host the Raiders and Patriots ahead of Thanksgiving.

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6) | Last week: 21 (+1)

The Bucs have lost four straight games—three since the injuries to Chris Godwin and Mike Evans—but they’ve all been close. Todd Bowles continues to do a nice job, and Tampa can go on a run with a healthy Evans potentially back following the bye.

21. New York Jets (3-7) | Last week: 18 (-3)

The good feelings for the Jets lasted approximately one half, as they couldn’t build on their strong showing in the final 30 minutes against the Texans a couple of Thursdays ago. Some type of spark is obviously necessary.

22. Chicago Bears (4-5) | Last week: 19 (-3)

The Bears offense is probably the worst unit in the league over the past couple of weeks. While I’ve mentioned the good situation overall that No. 1 pick Caleb Williams found himself in with a strong defense and weapons on offense, things are crumbling at this point due to the offensive line and lack of an identity on offense.

23. Dallas Cowboys (3-6) | Last week: 22 (-1)

With or without starting quarterback Dak Prescott, who is now officially done for the year after hamstring surgery, the recent play of the Cowboys at home has been mind-boggling. Micah Parsons’ return on defense helped for a bit, and he needs a takeover type of game for Dallas to beat Houston.

24. Indianapolis Colts (4-6) | Last week: 23 (-1)

Ironically, veteran Joe Flacco seemed to be struggling in a similar way to Anthony Richardson—as it just felt like he’s pressing to make plays and do too much through the air. So, the Colts are going back to Richardson. Regardless, Indy must establish Jonathan Taylor this week versus the Jets.

25. New Orleans Saints (3-7) | Last week: 28 (+3)

In the first game since firing head coach Dennis Allen, Marquez Valdes-Scantling starred with three receptions for 109 yards and two touchdowns in New Orleans’ win against the Falcons. The Saints host the Browns and Rams the next two weeks.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) | Last week: 25 (-1)

Trevor Lawrence (left shoulder) is going to miss this week but might be back for December 1 following the Jaguars’ bye, and we’re seeing what a tough situation it is for a quarterback given Jacksonville’s roster.

27. Cleveland Browns (2-7) | Last week: 27

Jameis Winston will remain under center for Cleveland as they return from the bye, and he’ll take on a Saints team he used to play for from 2020-2023.

28. Carolina Panthers (3-7) | Last week: 31 (+3)

I like the energy I’m seeing from second-year quarterback Bryce Young since his return to the starting lineup, as the vibes have appeared up during Carolina’s back-to-back wins. Young has earned the starting job back and will look to build on it.

29. Las Vegas Raiders (2-7) | Last week: 29

The Raiders took the bye week to attempt to figure things out offensively under a new staff, and we’ll see if Gardner Minshew remains under center or if they go with Desmond Ridder.

30. Tennessee Titans (2-7) | Last week: 30

Calvin Ridley caught two touchdowns in the loss to the Chargers, so it was good that Will Levis found that connection in his return to the starting lineup. But Levis held the ball far too long at times while absorbing seven sacks and must clean that up.

31. New England Patriots (3-7) | Last week: 32 (+1)

The Patriots wisely protected Drake Maye for a trip to Chicago, with a balanced attack helping the rookie quarterback take just one sack—while the New England defense racked up nine sacks.

32. New York Giants (2-8) | Last week: 26 (-6)

The Giants have the worst record in the league as they enter their bye week. While Daniel Jones is not playing well and hasn’t been the same since multiple serious injuries, way too much is being put on him by the outside—it’s just not a good situation—but it sounds like he’ll be benched after the Week 11 bye.
